Yes, after years of being subjected to the awful redrawn version, the B&W version of what is arguably Norman McCabe' finest cartoon, returns in the Columbia House Collector's Edition: "A Battle of Wits", which I received today. I don't know about y'all, but I've never seen the B&W version until today, it really looks great. If anybody here isn't already subscribed to the Columbia House Collector's Series, I'd reccomend that you do, it's got several unedited cartoons, some restored Blue Ribbons titles, Bosko and Buddy, no time compressed or colorized versions, and NO Cartoon Network logo.

I've asked for the set for Christmas, it'd be a dream...but my parents hate the idea..."It's Columbia House", they say, "It's expensive, it's a racket, you keep getting things from them and if you can't pay for it that month and don't send it back you're hosed, and when you move to college we're not forwarding it and blah blah blah...."...I hope they reconsider, I'd love to subscribe to it. How much, out of curiosity, has it cost you to get this far in the series?

It's $23.94 per tape, shipping and handling included.

They will let you, however, buy the entire series at once, should you be able to cough up the cash to do it.
Hey Dawg, I'm glad that print of "Daffy's Southern Exposure" made it to the tape. Out of curiousity, what happened with the opening and closing credits on that one? Are they the original ones, and are they frozen or fully animated?
Plus, was "Tweetie Pie" on there, and did it have the original credits restored..... :bosko: (keeping fingers crossed....)

The opening credits in Daffy's Southern Exposure are not animated, and Tweeety Pie did not have its original titles. Scaredy Cat, The Foghorn Leghorn, and I another one I can't think of are the Blue Ribbons to have their titles restored. :bosko:

"Kit for Cat" is the other cartoon you're thinking of.

Is "Crockett Doodle Doo" still on "A Battle of Wits" as was originally listed on Jerry Beck's site?
(I hope, I hope, I hope)
