How strong is Ras Al Ghul?

Is he stronger than Batman? Where does he rank in comparison to other DC characters? :confused:

Fresh from the Lazarus pit, I'd say he was between Creeper and Batman strength (stronger than Batman, but not as strong as Creeper or say Spiderman.) After a while I'd assume he and bats were of comperable strength. Then Ras slowly gets weaker and older. Just the impression I got.
