Hey. I was just wondering about two things.

First: Bronze Tiger: The Wikipedia entry and Batman: The Ultimate Guide said he killed Kathy Kane/Batwoman, but The DC Comics Encyclopedia said he didn't and was fighting Batman. Which is accurate?

Seocnd: Doctor Moon: Does he have a first name?

Bronze Tiger: As I recall, in the storyline that is collected in the TPB "Batman: Tales of the Demon," Batman was rendered unconscious before Kathy died. At the time, the Bronze Tiger and some members of the League of Assassins were present. Then he woke up and found her dead body in the room. She had died as she was reaching out to clutch at her old Batwoman costume. So Batman (and we readers) didn't get to see who killed her. Batman lost consciousness, Batman woke up, she had died while he was out cold, your guess is as good as mine as to just who struck the fatal blow that killed her.

From the way Batman interacted with the Bronze Tiger later in that storyline, he didn't seem to feel the man had cold-bloodedly murdered Kathy Kane, even though the poor guy had somehow been brainwashed at the time. But I say "didn't seem to" because I don't remember either of them directly raising the subject in conversation - "Who struck the fatal blow that killed her?"

Many years later, I think in Suicide Squad #39, John Ostrander had been using the Bronze Tiger as a regular cast member and had someone refer to that old story as a case where Tiger had been brainwashed into fighting Batman, but someone else had killed Kathy Kane that day (according to the way some federal government employee summarized it as they were giving Bronze Tiger a psychological evaluation and digging into all the darkest moments of his life to see how he handled the stress of discussing such things). But how did those federal employees know for a fact, or think they knew, that Bronze Tiger didn't personally kill that poor woman? Beats me!

So it's all kind of iffy. Denny O'Neil wrote the stories in a way that suggested Bronze Tiger didn't do it - or, at the very least, suggested that Batman gave him the full benefit of the doubt and didn't seem to think he had personally done it. But we didn't actually see how she died, exactly. John Ostrander evidently also favored the idea that someone else on the scene finished her off. Other writers may well have different opinions. Isn't that helpful? :)

As for Moon's first name, I have no idea, and neither does dcuguide.com, apparently :)

So, in the case of Bronze Tiger, either version is possible. Thanks, Lorendiac.:)

Suspect this story's events might've changed somewhat post-Crisis, mostly in that in current continuity (such as it is), Kathy was never Batwoman...
