After a few weeks of voting, the fans have responded with what they believe are the Top 6 episodes of the hit series Stargate SG-1. They're probably not in order (or in reverse order, since I highly doubt "2010" could ever beat "Window of Opportunity" in popularity), but who cares? It's 6 awesome episodes of the classic SG-1, with lots of O'Neill!

Tonight's schedule:

8PM - "Lost City (Part 1)" - Anubis is planning to attack Earth! Jack once again downloads the knowledge of the Ancients in order to find a weapon powerful enough to stop the evil Gao'uld, but it'll be close!

9PM - "Lost City (Part 2)" - SG-1 races to find a weapon powerful enough to defeat Anubis, as Hammond prepares the Prometheus to head into its first battle! Jack finally finds a weapon powerful enough...but it's on Earth! Could it possibly be...Atlantis!?

10PM - "Window of Opportunity" - SG-1 travels to a planet where a scientists is working on an Ancient time travel device. Unfortunately, he double-crosses our heroes and as a result, Jack & Teal'c are stuck in a time loop! Unable to find a way out of it, the two decide to spend time by riding bikes, playing golf, and getting it on the only way SG-1 can.

11PM - "A Matter of Time" - SG-10 travels to a planet where they are unexpectantly presented with a black hole. Unfortunately, Earth's Stargate becomes linked and threatens to swallow up the entire planet if nothing is done!

12AM - "1969" - While heading out on a mission, SG-1 is accidentally sent back in time to 1969. Without the aid of the SGC or any of their alien allies, how can our heroes return to their own time?

1AM - "2010" - It has been 10 years since SG-1 met the Aschen. With the Gao'uld exterminated, the symbiotes destroyed, and the Stargate public, things seem to be all nice on Earth. However, Sam discovers that the Aschen aren't as awesome as they thought!

Spoilers: While these have been shown multiple times on the weekday run, some people might still be seeing them for the first time (particularly "Lost City"), so be careful!

Mostly good pics. A surprising number of them were not concerned with the main continuity of the series, but connected with themselves regardless.

Stargate SG-1 7x21 & 7x22: "Lost City" -****
Not a bad choice for a two-parter. The most significant of the marathon's episodes, in that it sets up the eighth season of SG-1 and the new series Atlantis. Lots of good effects and action. (When's the director's cut featuring Ben Browder's character spliced into the battle sequence coming out? :p jk)

Stargate SG-1 4x06: "Window of Opportunity" - ****1/2
Aw yeah.

Stargate SG-1 2x16: "A Matter of Time" - ***
My least favorite of this marathon. The concept was interesting, but on repeated showings it loses much of its charm because I find myself picking apart all the breached laws of physics. Yes, I know this is sci-fi. Shut up.

Stargate SG-1 2x21: "1969" - ****
Again, on a repeated viewing I find myself wondering why SG-1 didn't arrive in the far future inside the hanger in Washington? And if the gate was actually SUPPOSED to transport them back to itself, they would have wound up inside the box inside the hanger in 1969 in the first place. Again, I know, sci-fi. Other than that, this was a well-done time-travel episode. And I like me my time travel episodes. (I also got a kick out of the reference to Daniel's future haircut. Did they actually plan to cut his hair in the near future, or was it just a random line?) Why would that woman be in her bedclothes? I'd expect her to be a bit more prepared than that, knowing what was going to happen years in advance and everything. Or maybe that's the clothing style of the future?

Stargate SG-1 4x16: "2010" - ***1/2
They should have just replaced "Lost City" with "Moebius" and called this a time-travel marathon. Shanks had some good glasses. He looked like Dr. Crane from Batman Begins, which freaked me out. I forgot about O'Neil admitting his pond has no fish in it. I thought that discovery was first made in "Threads."

Stargate SG-1 Viewers' Choice Marathon - ****

Cooincidentally, I bought Sliders season three yesterday. Wormholes are FUN!

Anybody notice the Atlantis theme playing near the end of Lost City Part 2?
