If you're like me you've been trolling around the really bare world of the Serenity movie site for, oh, the last year and a half or something...but anyway for those that either missed the news or are just totally in the dark, the official movie site launched last night.

So go! Look! And marvel at River's prettiness! (http://www.serenitymovie.com/)

*ahem*

Interesting site, nice pics, but I wish they had the Notes section up.

I hope the movie answers some of the show's unanswered questions.

I stil say that doesn't look like River. Looks like Brooke Burke (someone please say they know who she is).

Irregardless, I can't freakin' wait for this movie. I just finished the series on DVD again this week, so I'm all kinds of stoked.

I know who she is. [Because you just told me over AIM.]

I am so over the moon about this film, it's not even feesible for me to express in words. I just...have been waiting for this to come for so darn long and now it's less than a month away, I absolutely cannot wait. Planning to start a daily episode watching about two weeks before it I think. (Which'll probably be a full marathon of the whole show knowing me...I have no willpower.)

Yeah, I know who Brooke Burke is. :nurse: :D  . I don't think the pic on that site looks like her though.

Did I hear right that Book won't be in the movie? Cuz I see his profile on the site...

He's in the movie. All of the cast are.

Is the trailer an accurate depiction of what the movie, as well as Firefly, are like? I was hearing so much that I was considering seeing this, but the trailer looked so cheesy and generic that I'm reconsidering.

If you like Buffy, Angel, and things that are good.... you should buy the DVD's and find out.

Or rent 'em if you don't trust we legions of browncoats out on the outer planets. ;)

I'm not sure, tho... I was diappointed that they didn't go with a more fun western angled promo. I was prepared to hear futuristic western music, or genuine western music in the trailers n' stuff.

Check out the DVD's... this is definately a story one shouldn't miss, if you're a lover of things that are good.

I'm gonna ask for the DVDs for my birthday... on September 30th! What an awesome present it would be to see this movie open on that day. I can't wait.

I know nothing about Firefly, but I have to agree that the trailer looks rather generic. Effects look to be Star Trek level rather than Star Wars. I did notice one cool looking epic space battle.

I wonder how this will do in theaters. It's obviously going to pull in the Firefly crowd, but I don't know how well it will draw with the general public. No real names in the cast. Could be a tough sell unless the reviews are sensational.

I hope it does well so that maybe we'll get a Galaxy Rangers revival.

I was hearing so much that I was considering seeing this, but the trailer looked so cheesy and generic that I'm reconsidering. The movie, at least the cut that was previewed a couple months back, is flat-out amazing. The appeal of Firefly and Serenity is hard to encapsulate in the space of a two minute trailer. Serenity is structured to be 'friendly' to someone who hasn't watched the series before, but I think being familiar with the characters and having a better idea of the backstory touched on in the movie help. A lot.

Could be a tough sell unless the reviews are sensational. The budget was comparatively low, so it's low-risk on Universal's part, and it's almost a given that it'll be in the black after home video sales, rentals, international box office, cable, PPV, etc. are factored in.

The first trailer and the first international trailer are the two best trailers I've seen for Serenity so far. The new one was a bit of a let down, because it did seem really pedestrian. If there's any more I would like to see them, but out of the three the first two release were the best.

And will there be a soundtrack for this movie?

I did a quick search on Amazon and there will be a soundtrack to the movie:

I have also seen a few reviews for the movie online as well.
