Batman Beyond: Chaos Apocalypse
Written By Craig Dixon AKA "Zorbrak"

OK so this may not be official but if I made a plot for a DTV that closes up Batman Beyond, actually it can be considered a justice league DTV but also a Batman Beyond one, it has a very cool plot that I came up with...or at least i thought so. Terry has flips out and and to Bruce's horror begins killing innocent poeple and everyone on the streets has gone mad (then Terry suddenly dissappears), the police, EVERYONE including Barabara Gordon are going on mad killing sprees (Ala Maximum Carnage) after several weeks of seclusion hiding in the batcave from this violence Bruce finally realizes has no other choice and quickly goes to work researching Ras' lazerous pits, he learns of an undiscovered Lazerous pit in Antarchtica and travels there where he has arranged a rendevue with Superman (the rest of the JLU flipped and then dissappeared just as terry did) and former members of the original league, who all seem to be unaffected by the maddening "violence cravings" that have spread throughout the entire world.

they all agree to restore their youth by submerging into the pit as they decide they are the Earth's last hope of restoring sanity, alot of the movie would be Justice League style action with batman trying to figure out a pattern in the murders (in a new suped up somewhat retro BB suit), superman trying to prevent them, The Flash and Green Lantern and Wonder Woman have gone to contact aquaman to ask for help...when they get to Atlantis they soon find that the "violence cravings" have even reached the sea dwellers, Wally meets his demise at the hands of the Atlantians and WW and GL escape, but barely.

Martian Manhunter suspects an alien race may have taken control of the entire planet's people and that for some reason only they have not been affected, this obviously seems very odd and they discover they have been played as pawns by someone but they don't know who, they discover a strange pshysic signal has been transmitting towards earth and has been controlling the actions of all the people, just as jon jonzz had suspected, the waves were coming from an enormously long distance light years away farther than any member has ever traveled (I'm still not sure how I would get them there) but they follow it to its original source when they reach their destination things start seeming REALLY strange when they arrive at a giant complex with giant threshold gaurded by industructable metal which no one was able to break they could feel evil surging from beyond the barrier.

When superman tried the portal suddenly illuminated with a green kryptonite plasma making the barrier impossible to cross, Martian Manhunter receives a psychic message from the other side of the barrier telling him that there was a panel to shut down the barrier on the other side of the planet , when they reach this second complex Terry and the rest of the JLU are waiting for them, the next scene would be very dark darker than anything in return of the joker, they have to defeat the the JLU and Bruce has to fight Terry the whole time they have a REALLY tough time carrying this battle out. , after all of the JLU and Terry have been defeated...they reach the computer operationg the barrier's locks and kryptonite sheild, they return to the threshold and cross it when they come out its just like the other side...but backwords... the planet begins to shatter like glass...the whole unvierse begins to crumble... everything goes black and silent, and a high pitched but low sounding squeal begins to sound, it gets louder and louder, and then the screen shows an images Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Superman, and Martian Manhunter waking up from strange capsuls litterally screaming as if being murdered and electricy shocking all around them, batman actually goes into a seizure as superman gains control of himself and frees every one.
Superman realizes for what they thought was the past 40 years they were actually in a virtual world where minutes seemed like days, unlike the dreamworld in "perchance to dream'' this was more of a matrix type reality, but it appeared that flash was not in this virtual world (could he really be alive?), just as soon as he realizes this gaurds storm the room and theres a nice little action sequence where superman and GL who has also come to easily take them out and then we learn this virtual world was made in part by the friendly guys at Lexcorp with the help of your friendly neighborhood injustice gang, theres a final action sequence where Flash, NightWing and Robin meet up witht he League and then a flashback of their kidnappings, and then the Final Justice League, In justice gang showdown of the movie, and then quite a bit of dialog afterwords, mainly focusing on bruce, who was very heavily mentally damaged by all that had happened in what seemed to be the last 40 years of his life (they were only in the viurtual world for a few days) were all a big lie, Terry never existed and Joker never kidnapped Drake, all of it, all of it was fake, and only happened in a matter of several days, the movie ends with Bruce pondering on the life he never really led wondering about all the people he never really met people he considered good friends..and most of all he couldn't stop thinking about Terry, even though Terry never really existed...he was someone Bruce had considered a friend, it would show how superman and the rest of the Justice League is also quite mentally strucken by it all and they begin talking about how they have changed over the seemingly long period of time and the things they have learned the final scene shows Bruce and the rest of the league league standing together looking up at the sky...and then the screen goes black THE END

As it turns out, the Virtual world was created to age the heros and mentally deceive their bodies, causing them to shut down simply by aging them leading to their deaths, the JLU and Terry were created to act as "agents" and keep the heros from reaching the virtual threshold where data was entered into the virtual world should the heros break the barrier their minds can freely leave the virtual world, although the message from the otherside of the barrier was Robin and Wally West who went on search for the JL after they were kidnapped by Lex Corp, once they found the complex which held the heros location they hacked the system and sent that message, this also explains the virtual Flash who was not actually wally west, but just a virtual software program. The violence spree that occured was the result of a glitch program joker put in becuase he thought it was taking batman to long to die, of course joker wanted to just torture batman physically but Lex wound not let anyone into the rooms for risk of interferring and triggering one of them (especially superman, to break free of the sleep)

Now Please tell me this kicked ass. I am going to pretend this is what happened so that I have some closure to Batman Beyond. What did everyone think of it?

you know I would have thought at least one person liked it...do I not even get any responses here?

It's rather daunting to read. I think you need to insert some paragraphs or something there. Just a big, huge block of words is rather unsettling to the eyes. It's not that I don't think nobody would like it, just reformat it a tad.

A very interesting read.

Good stuff! I think it would make a great final BB episode. But I wanna see the Bat-family reunite, and find out what happened to Dick Grayson and Alfred.

That is very interesting. I'm not sure if that's the way i would have wanted BB to end, but it definately is a good story.

HA! I cant believe that story. If that was made and i was sitting there watching that, i would be in total shock for about a full five minutes after it was over, just trying to grasp everything that just happened. but it is a good way to start off the JL cartoon. but it would be too much like perchance to a dream. But i also like BB and i dont want it so that it never happened

Well it's an interesting story, and it could work if you wanted to expand it as a fanfic. But as a conclusion to Batman Beyond? No.

I'm sorry but your story completely declaws, defangs, and neuters Batman Beyond. It doesn't respect the series. It turns Terry into a killer and strips him of everything he's done to earn the right to call himself Batman.

I can live with Batman Beyond being the future of the animated DC universe just as well as I can live with it being a possible future. But your story makes it nothing more than a complex fabrication, and as such it never existed.

I fail to see the closure you offer for Batman Beyond.

well, I understand your points , and Batman Beyond was an awesome series and I liked it alot, and I don't like "neutering it" but most people like Bruce as Batman better and it keeps bothering me that Batman Beyond might be the future of Batman so I completly understand your issues with it but I think it was a good way to bring batman back to his roots....I was having other thoughts on how to bring Terry into it and this just popped to mind, if I were to revise the story I would make Terry one of the people out into the virtual captivity several days after the heros were (whihch in virtual wiorld was several years), but had never met bruce in real life prior, but I don't know how I would play that off, maybe he was investigating Lex Corp or a con that owed The Joker money or somthing? or hmm I don't know any thoughts or suggetions on this?

If you didn't like doing that to the series you didn't have to write your story that way. See that's the beauty of BB being a possible future, that all the fans can have their cake and eat it too.

So what if some people like Bruce better, to me he is The Batman, but throughout BB and RotJ Terry proved to me that he earned the right to call himself Batman. And it seemed like with one sentence you stripped Terry of everything that made him Terry.

Now that's an idea I like. Not only does it give you a way to respect BB it lets you keep your story basically the same. Well except for the part about Terry going nuts and killing people. ;)

<<And it seemed like with one sentence you stripped the Terry of everything that made him Terry. >>

I was originally doing that to increase the Metal Gear style- shock factor- but based on reaction I'd change that

I was going to change the killing people part in that case :)

(and PS to all the BB fans who were upset by the ending, I am a BB fan too so don't think I enjoyed killing Terry off, I really liked the show alot, I taped every episode, and I am trying to come up with a way to bring Terry into the story more, as a good guy, and maybe try to not kill him off, but it will take some time, the new superman adventures where Terry travels back in time (#64) is going to make things more difficult, and frankly I think the issue was poorly written so maybe I will just not acknowledge its existence when I revise my story, thanks for your considration and understanding, writing a story that will please ALL fans isn't an easy task )
