I love the 80s cartoon "Centurions". It was one of my personal favorite shows. For those who don't know what "Centurions" is, it's about a high tech future where an evil mad scientist cyborg named Doc Terror tries to rule Earth and it's up to 3 men wearing special exto-suits which allow them to be combine with advance weaponary to stop him.

Personally, I think they should make a DVD collection of the series and/or make a new series of the Centurions. :D But just as long they don't screw it up.(like they did with He-Man  )

Don't forget the other two seldom-seen Centurions, Rex Charger and John Thunder!

This was a pretty good sci-fi show that unfortunately didn't do too well at the time it was made (hardly surprising considering the amount of competition!). Many episodes had some excellent Japanese animation from Sunrise (makers of the many Gundam series, and they also did a few neat Batman: TAS eps as well).

Some time back I actually did a fairly comprehensive guide to the show at TVTome, that should still be up at TV.com (everything was ported over). If you want to know a little about the series' episodes, including the rarely-seen five part 'finale', take a look!

It was actually moderately popular in the UK for some time when it debuted over here, helped no doubt by having far more exposure on TV than many other similarly-themed shows, even stuff like Transformers.

Bizarrely, our Cartoon Network/Boomerang, despite having shown in the past that they easily have all the episodes on hand to show, have rarely, if ever shown any episodes over the past 10 years - the last extraordinarily brief run being in 2001. I think it's strange since as far as I can tell, the show was slightly more popular in the UK than it ever was in the US, and yet for years the show was something of a semi-regular feature on the US CN/Boomerang. Ah...the minds of TV executives!

Anyway, everyone's got to have a favorite Centurion and for me it's got to be Ace McCloud. Surely one of voice actor Neil Ross' greatest roles!

I liked the opening credits, but otherwise Spiral Zone owned this show.
