Wouldn't they have to tie up the ending of the last episode of Angel for this to happen? I mean the last we saw of Spike
He was about to face an army of demons with Angel, Gunn, and Illyria

Is it just me or are ALL of my fanboy wants being given at this point? DuckTales and Rescue Rangers on DVD? Check. Third season of Justice League Unlimited? Check. STAS DTV? Check. Wizards 2 comic book? Check. Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock and Muppet Movies on DVD? Check. Serenity hitting theaters on my birthday? Double check.
Buffyverse potentially returning? It just doesn't get any better than that.
I am SO glad this is in the early planning stages. Tim Minear is a GREAT pick for writer/director. I'm pretty sure it will be set post Not Fade Away since Joss always said he thought Spike was a going forward kind of character. It might be set a couple of years later and the battle and who survived is only briefly mentioned. (This would be the best plan if they couldn't get David Boreanaz, J August Richards, and Amy Acker to cameo).
Speaking of David Boreanaz this week's TV Guide said:
Crankiest Ex-Vampire
David Boreanaz's first meeting with Hart Hanson executive producer of Bones, didn't go well because, he says, his future boss "started talking about Angel... and I was really not into talking about that." OK, how about Buffy?What is up with that? I mean I know he was anxious to spend more time with his family but I figured the guy could at LEAST look back fondly on the role that catapulted him to fame. Is he really that bitter, for no reason I can see? Does he have a legitimate gripe against Joss Whedon? Or is TV Guide talking out of it's ass, as usual?

You know how stars get. Once they finish up a long-time role, they want people to stop talking about it so they won't get casted as the exact same character in another series/movie.

Especially since he HAS found a new role that is very different from Angel. I could understand not talking about it if he was getting typecast but as of now it just strikes me a sour grapes.

Careful, Fone, you might end up cursing yourself and it'll be no more TMNT season 5 (sorry, I couldn't think of anything else you like :ack:)
By the way, thanks for stealing my thunder (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?p=1876450#post1876450), Moron (even if you do have a better link, but wow, the way I said your name made it sound like an insult, I didn't mean it that way, and I would've created a new thread, but I thought if I bumped the Buffyverse one we could talk about other things as well).
Like I said before, that Spike project sounds cool, even if he already got two endings. Yeah, he's a character with a lot of potential, but if you think about "Chosen" and "Not Fade Away", either can work as fitting ends for him.
{yes I did just learn to do that link in text thing and it's too much fun!}

With everything on my plate currently I'll live. I REALLY want a JLU season four though. With The Batman possibly expiring it COULD mean the end of the Bat-Embargo.
Spike TV movie goodness. I just can't wait. With people waiting for this, Harry Potter 7, and JLU season 3 I bet you anything the fanboy suicide rates are dropping.:D
Now, could we possibly have more Farscape? Please?
