I'd say Lupin, the mastermind is my favorite.

Fujiko a close second.

Gigen is my favorite character of Lupin.

I was all set to vote for Gigen, but that MST3K option was so tempting... Monkey Punch gave all of his characters their own coolness factor, but Gigen's not only a great shot, he's also got that eye-covering hat granting him a bit of a mystery-man aura. (Though, I don't think there's really any mystery to him at all, it just looks cool.)

Its not Gigen, its Jigen. And what is MST3K?

I like Zenigata and Jigen the most, but I picked Zenigata.

MST3K = Mystery Science Theater 3000, a show that ran from 1988-1999 which featured a human trapped in space with robots who made fun of bad B-movies. No known relation to Lupin III, though its series finale featured an Italian movie with a protagonist thief very much like our dear Lupin, named Diabolik.

The master thief himself of course.

Goemon. He has a sword, keeps ancient traditions alive, and he just so cool.

Gigen comes at a close second.

I've always been a fan of Zenigata.

On a side note, why is everyone spelling Jigen "Gigen"?

On a side note, why is everyone spelling Jigen "Gigen"?I thought it was Jigen, but wasn't sure. So I followed suit. I am completely innocent!

Lupin of course. The biggest anime icon right below Astro Boy.

Jigen is pretty cool and my favorite in the group. ;)

Zenigata's my favorite, but Lupin's a close second. Heck, they're all great.

On a side note, why is everyone spelling Jigen "Gigen"?Maybe they all read Tokyopop's translation of Vol. 1 :p.

I would have voted Zenigata, but since MST3k does indeed rock....

Jigen...because no matter how old he says he's getting, he'll still shoot you down with deadly precision.

Jigen. He's a beetnik, so he has instant coolness right there. And he outsmarted Samurai Jack. :D

It depends on how we are looking at this, hard to say, because in terms of humor, Zenigata has my vote easily, but in terms of coolness, Goemon by far. I just assumed vote by humor and so voted Zenigata. :p

Zenigata. No matter how many times he fails(and yes, he's failed a lot) he never gives up

I would have voted Lupin... but you had to go offer an option for MST3K...

Jigen's always been my favorite. It's just his overall look. He's one of the originals in the "hat covers his eyes most of the time" way.

OK, I'll bite. Why is there a MST3K reference here? Did they do a Lupin movie?

That era was for Lupin what Timothy Dalton was for James Bond

The worst Lupin movie is a lot better than a lot of things out there :D, but if MST3K was to do a Lupin movie, it would probably be "Legend of the Gold of Babylon."

There are some good things about it, too :D. And, again, it's better than some other anime movies out there. It's just that, having came after the excellent Cagliostro, people expected a lot out of it! But ya...it's definitely the bottom of the pile for the Lupin movies!

Castle of Cagliostro got good reviews when it was released, but it was its initial box office intake that was less than stellar. It wasn't until later that it gained more popularity. Some people might have given it so-so reviews, but those were probably the fans of the 2nd TV Series Lupin who were disappointed that the Lupin in Cagliostro is rather different than the one in the TV series.

My personal favorite has to be Jigen... or Gigen as the poll says. Now I'm not sure which spelling is correct.

I got to check out Cagliostro when I can.
