Anyone here into the show Top Gear (http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear)?

I've seen every episode and very much look forward to the next series (season), especially since Jeremy Clarkson's role is a bit up in the air right now as he has been forbidden from driving for an extended period after he slipped two discs in his back.

Discovery Channel airs the show now, albeit edited for American television (I watch the unedited BBC2 version). The show is funny, the presenters (hosts) have a great chemistry together and the vehicles they review are amazing more often than not. If you have even a passing interest in cars, you owe it to yourself to check it out sometime! It's definitely the best automotive show on TV. :)

P.S. Honorable mention goes to Fifth Gear, another excellent British car show and off-shoot of TG. It also has many fun moments, but overall, it is a bit more journalistic and straightforward in its reviews than TG. It airs on Speed Channel and you can check the upcoming schedule for the show here (http://www.speedtv.com/programs/218/)

Noel Edmonds was a presenter on what people refer to as "old Top Gear" (i.e. pre-2002, when it was brought back). The current lineup is Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

It's a good show, but they slam anything made by American car companies. I remember when they had the Corvette up there and mocked it for having an "ancient leaf spring suspension," ignoring the fact that the Corvette's rear suspension is a transverse independent leaf spring, not the leaf setups you usually see on trucks. They're just pissy that it beats their Aston Martins and what have you for about a third of the price.

But this is a universal bias in most of the automotive press, these guys are just funny Brits who like to make jokes at the expense of good cars.
