I really enjoyed BB, it's an entertaining show but I really refuse to let it be THE Batman Future.

I mean Terry's cool, yeah. But he kind of brawler and that kinda reminds me of the 'Knight Fall' series.

Bruce Timm did mention it was a POSSIBLE future, that mean we're looking at the possiblies of Alternate universes and Worm holes in Plots.

So what alternative Batman future can you think of?

Here's my take :

An aged Bruce wayne continues being Batman, Derek powers attempts for a hostile takeover on Wanye Corp. for illegal purposes. Batman wants to expose him but unfortunately He DIES in the line of duty trying to rescue some hostages from an exploding building, Powers set it up naturaly. Some people mourn of Batman's death, others tend to forget. 20 years later Gotham is overridden by crime. A young street punk (could be an alternative Terry) is caught by some of power's men and is used as a ginnue pig in an experiment in mind-programing (think army of zombies :)). They use one unknown program which was stacked away years ago. After transfer the file into the kid's head. The Kid manages to tackle the men and escape. The program was none other than an encoded memory of Bruce Wayne!!

Bruce find's himself in a body of a street punk, He has no idea what has happened. After seeing the bad state Gotham is in. Bruce dons a special Bat suit and starts to look for answers as well as continue his war against crime!

I actually got the idea from an Elseworlds comic. Yeah, I know it's really dumb, But I'm sure there are better Ideas :)

Batman Beyond isn't THE Batman future. Dini and Timm both agree that it's to be viewed as an Elseworlds type future.

I totally consider Beyond to be THE Batman animated future. It's the only Batman future we are going to see animated.
But, to each his own.

Does Batman HAVE to have one future? Myself, I've enjoyed future depictions of the bat in Batman Beyond, Kingdom Come and The Dark Knight Returns, and I'm always up for more...

Mandatory Illogical Fangirl cry at Concept of Bruce Wayne DYING: No, never, inconceivable!

Now that that's over with-
The encoded memory and programming kind of sounds too similar to ROTJ.

But its despite target audience and mediocre writing, I'm a hardcore fan of BB, so don't listen to me ^_^
