My Analysis/B.S. Commentary
We have a new Cylon, and he isn't anybody we've seen before. Of course, there's still a chance he might show up in a future episode as someone among the fleet. Whoever he is, however, he hasn't been recurring up to this point.

The Cylon Doctor probably had Starbuck nigh-convinced he was a real human, but a couple of things tipped her off. First was the extra scar, which just seemed out of place. The second was when he called her Starbuck. When she told him her name, she said she was Kara Thrace. She never gave him her callsign.

Anyone else notice why Apollo stopped when he was recording his message to the fleet? It's pretty interesting. He specifically asked "free-thinking people" to blindly follow the president and what he was saying. It was steeped in irony, and it went against everything Apollo stands for. He may be in the military (well, not anymore), but he's made it pretty clear that he's a guy who likes to think for himself moreso than take orders.

Boomer's been telling Helo she's pregnant with his child, but it turns out Cylons aren't capable of producing children with humans. Will love be the final ingredient needed?

Adama really loves his crew as much as they love him. Boomer shot him, and he still wept over her body. This was an officer who worked with him aboard the Galactica for the last 2 years. He trusted her. He loved her as much as Starbuck or Apollo.

Why is Starbuck so "special"? She wasn't hooked up to a machine like the others. Boomer told her she was special, and Leoben told her the same thing when she interrogated him last season.

We learned something new about Starbuck. When she was younger, the bones in her fingers were all broken-- and each break was between the first and second knuckle. I heard a theory that it might have something to do with playing the piano, and it seems to be connected to unpleasant memories with Starbuck's parents. "No wire hangers," anyone?

BSG got its longer intro back. That's automatically a yay for me. Story as compelling as usual. I can't watch 15 minutes and get the whole ep like I can SG1 and sometimes Atlantis.

And so the Caprica arc FINALLY ends. Can't wait to see the look of Callie's face when Sharon shows up.

Should be a very interesting moment. Also what about a certain crew member who was with the Galatica Boomer? Complicated to say the least.

Howdy,

Great episode, as always, but I do have one question. If I remember right, the reason why Col. Tigh gave the order to jump away from Kobol after Adama was shot was because a second Cylon basestar had entered the area. This was also the entire reason why they made a big deal out of networking Galactica's computers for the jump back so they could find the fleet again, and why they didn't hang around to do the search & rescue mission to pick up Callie, the Chief, the Vice President, and Lt. Moronboy.

Isn't that basestar still there? And aren't the President and 24 ships out of the fleet just jumping straight back to them? Does nobody, you know, REMEMBER this? Or did I miss something when getting up to get a snack or something?

Very good episode. The Caprica arc finally went somewhere and it's "finished" for the time being.

Interesting interaction between the Chief and Adama, "Did you love her?" and then his comment of, "You'll see her again."

When Adama went to the morgue to look at Boomer and ends up asking, "Why?" and then breaking down and sobbing . . . that was great and a good tie into his earlier conversation with the Chief about Boomer being more to them than just a machine.

I was really surprised to see so many ships jump after Rosalin. Quite surprised.
