Poor Kagome, she had to sit through that whole thing and watch what she calls a boyfriend kiss kikiyo.

Well, I didn't have much sympathy for Kagome actually, because after Kikyo flew away, rather than getting mad at Inuyasha for foolishly putting his life in danger, she let's her jealousy corrupt her and then cared more about her own fragile feelings than Inuyasha's safety (that's just how I see that episode, Kagome fans DO NOT attack me for this please).

Well, when I first saw the eps a couple of years or so ago, I think I did actually feel sorry for Kagome. But now, having watched that eps several times more, I don't feel much sympathy for Kagome either. I mean, I can understand that she was put in a rather awkward position watching Inuyasha and Kikyou kiss, but I can't say I feel really sorry for her now. I guess part of that is due to the fact that 100 or so episodes later, Kagome still hasn't really got over her insecure feelings and jealousy about Inuyasha/Kikyou despite the fact that the two will never be able to get together. I feel that (as much as she wants to)she still doesn't really understand why Inuyasha holds a place for Kikyou in his heart.

It's like when Inuyasha/Kikyou are together, she feels betrayed for some reason and finds herself questioning where she stands with Inuyasha. IMO, that gets rather repetitive. I understand that Kagome has feelings for Inuyasha, but technically he's not her boyfriend. Kikyou was Inuyasha's first love, I don't think Kagome fully understands why he's rather loyal to her. It also doesn't help that she overuses the "sit" command to the point where it just gets plain annoying. Sorry if some of that doesn't sound right.

It's hard to feel sympathy for Kagome when she never "stakes her claim" officially, abuses the SIT command, and the others always take her side even when she's blatantly wrong.

It's not too bad when the story keeps moving, but it gets really really annoying whenever the pace slows to a crawl during filler.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I hate it when the others take her side when she's abusing her "sit" powers.

Sigh...Inu/Kikyo is much better. :/

Kagome is about as bad as any demon on the show when it comes to love interests. She is always made out to be a complete ***** when it comes to jealousy and desire for whom she loves (she actually made a point of that in one of the episodes I believe).

But eh...the show has lost its charm once it gets too enveloped into the Naraku story. The reruns are confirming that feeling for me.

Yeah, Naraku was cool when the plot was to gather the jewel shards and they were competing with him to get it. But now it seems in recent episodes jewel shards don't even matter, the plot of the show has become find Naraku and kill him.

Did any of you guys/girls notice that on the episode "Kagomes voice and Kikiyos Kiss" that at the end Kagome went into in welll and went back into her time. But then on the next episode, she appeared to be there like she had never left. I know it sounds silly, but i think they made a mistake on that part.

She came back at the very end and apparently stayed around. Or there was a time lapse.

She came back at the very end and apparently stayed around. Or there was a time lapse.Actually, this was how the manga version of this plotline really ended. Kagome doesn't leave, instead sitting down and asking Inu-Yasha if he sees her only as a copy of Kikyo. Inu-Yasha sits back-to-back to her. He calmly explains that at first he thought so, but he eventually saw her as a different person. He also says that she has a relaxing influence on him which he kinda likes. Unfortunately, he then realizes that Kagome has fallen asleep through half of their conversation.

The anime seems to favor Kikyo over Kagome, not only by changing the end to this plotline, but also fiddling with the resolution in the next encounter Kagome has with Kikyo.
