Ok, I was watching this special on Fox. It was done by the people of Rankin Bass.....famous for their Roudolph stop-motion specials. Well its was overall decent, but I wanted to point these things out...

1. Ever notice that the character designs are stuck in the 70s? Those teens in the park that helped the father clean up look like rejects from Fat Albert.

2. THE MOM. She only cam out during songs and she was super hyper active. LOL. It was like she was some SNL player pretending to be Cher.

3. The bird, Melody. She looked like one of the Big Bird characters from the Seasme Street movie, Follow That Bird.

Ok. That's me 2 cents. Toss in your pennies.

I didn't have 2¢ of interest to see it myself!

Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. I watched the first 20 minutes and couldn't bare to watch it. Then I tuned in for the last 10 minutes and could barely watch those.

"Destined to become a family classic"?

Whatever.

More like "Destined to become a over hyped up home video release."

Another cookie-cutter christmas special like last years "olive: the other reindeer" (actually I saw that on nickelodeon the other day and it wasnt TOO bad,but the whole thing just seemed an excuse to show off celebrity voices...just like santa baby)

No interest at all to watch it. Could the character designs have been any more generic?
