Meh...It wasn't a great issuse, I mean it was ok just not as good as I was hoping the annual to be.
I found the art to be less than awesome, there were some cool panals, it just didn't grab me. I thought Cap looked weird, well I thought everyone looked weird.
The story, like I said meh...at best, I was hoping for something more from Miller especally since the Ultimates is one of his best books. Oh, well I still can't wait for Spidy's annual.

I was very disappointed. I hoped that marvel learned from it's past mistakes with the annual thing but I guess they didn't. It was nothing but filler with a bunch of the background guys.

I thought this was a fine issue. It acted like a self contained story from the main series. It was a nice break from the ongoing plots from the main title even though this annual furthers the effects of the super-heroes on the culture. I didn't mind the shift to the new recuits and I have a feeling these are recruits we will be seeing again soon. And finally I thought the artwork by Steve Dillon was great. It's completely different than what Hitch brings to the table but it still had that edge that characters like The Ultimates need.
