what should they change and/or get rid of in the next season of Krypto the Superdog?
I think they should get rid of title card and the "Krypto the Superdog in..." thing.

Two words: Detective Chimp.

the show should be retitled the Supers. It should focus on Krypto Living with Superman and his family in the suburbs of Metropolis. Kevin and his sister could be the adopted children of Clark Kent, and Lois [if thats who he ends up with]. The show would have episodes about Krypto and company and some about the ongoings of Clark and Lois in the adult superhero world. Not to mention alot of older themes, and fist fights during the superman episodes. Alot of family stuff would be nice to.

They should get a bigger pool of villians and guest heroes to dip into. It seems that every episode seems to feature the Dog Stars, Iggy or Mechanikat. Like Kryten says it would be awesome to get a new character like Detective Chimp as well as new villians.

Other than that the show is perfect although I wouldn't mind a new theme song.

I agree with Fone, get some more villans, maybe some human ones. Have an episode where Krypto teams up with Superman. Some of the dialogue could use a bit of work, but I realize it is a kid's show.

I have to agree that they need more villains. Maybe some more action, too, as long as they don't lose the humor of the show.

The problem with human advesaries is that Krypto would not be able to talk to them. Conversations would go something like this:

Badguy McEvilson: MWAHAHAHAHA! Soon my doomsday machine will be complete and then I will TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
Krypto: RUFF RUFF! BARK! <Not so fast, Badguy McEvilson!*>
Badguy McEvilson: Huh?
Krypto: GRRRRRRR! BARK BARK! <I, Superdog, am here to thwart your evil schemes!>
Badguy McEvilson: What's that, boy? Timmy fell down the well? I'll get the fire department!
Krypto: *whiiiiiine* <Well, at least he's thwarted....>

*translated from doganese for you convience

I do think more badguys are needed, especially some that are on Krypto's power level. The only things is not a lot of supervillians have pets, and those that do are nowhere near a challenge for K-Dog.

Well, Brainiac had a monkey.

I would like them to make the animation better.

Hmm.... possible DCU-heroes/villains that're animals (or animal-like):

- Detective Chimp: as suggested above. He was a chimp with detective skills that appeared in Silver Age comics.

- Rex the Wonder Dog: A white dog who was capable of performing various Lassie-like heroic feats. Might make an interesting contrast (or rival) to Ace and/or Krypto. Rex appeared mostly in 50's/60's DC Comics as well.

- Brainiac's monkey

- Maybe a starfish that used to be or is a minion of Starro, with a fraction of his powers? (In the JLA's first comic-book appearance, Starro mutated several Earth starfish into his agents...which might serve as a basis)

- Topo: Aquaman's pet octopus in Silver Age stories. Might serve as an "Aquaman" equivalent animal in this series...

- The Shark: a shark that got mutated into a human-like form, and an old GL foe. IIRC he'd occasionally get turned back into a "regular" shark---which might make him useful in a Krypto series (Krypto/Topo teamup?)

- Comet the Super-Horse, with a simplified/different origin.

- Beppo the Super-Monkey, also with a simpler/different origin.

- Titano: the giant ape from Superman's comics (and S:TAS)

- The Kryptonite Dog: In the Silver Age Superboy comics, one foe of his was the "Kryptonite Kid", an alien who was transformed into being irradiated with (and could shoot off) kryptonite; the same thing happened to his dog.

- An Apokolips monster dog (in some lighter-hearted "Darkseid"-like role)?

If they ever cross parallel Earths, Krypto and co. could team up with the Zoo Crew (from "Captain Carrot") or the "Justa Lotta Animals" (Super-Squirrel, Wonder Wabbit, Green Lambkin, the Crash, Aquaduck, the Martian Anteater, and the Batmouse)...

Is he Diana's pet? I always figured they'd use a winged horse if they wanted to bring in a Wonder Woman animal. Rex was white, but did he inspire Super Friends' Wonder Dog?

Speaking of Super Friends, how about Gleek?

Topo, Tusky, Storm...I want SOMEONE with ties to Aquaman.

Re: Tusky: Yeah, he'd work too... or Aquaman and Aqualad's giant seahorses, Storm and Imp.

Rex was IIRC mostly a solo dog in 50's and 60's stories, and the pet of an ordinary human family. Though the comic (along with Detective Chimp's) did (and still does) take place within the DC Universe post-Crisis (or on Earth-One pre-Crisis, per the dog apparently appearing in a JLA story).

Info I found on Rex: http://www.toonopedia.com/rex.htm

Do you think the the show should be a little bit darker?

Do you think the the show should be a little bit darker?

Not really. It's a show about talking superpowered animals, there's a limit to the whole "dark" thing that the show can get away with before the "dark" effect becomes the "Wow. That's dumb." effect. Besides, there's enough depressing stuff in real life. I'd like to avoid that in my entertainment. :)

one thing i want to see is them stop using ace as the butt of so many of the jokes. :(

also, i think it would be cool if they could make up a pet for wonder woman and have it be in the show (perhaps green arrow too?).

lastly, id like to see batman himself appear (along with superman again!).

why would Batman guest star on a show like this? If you have not noticed yet no human super heores [save for superman perhaps] will apear on the show. Just their pets and such.

I'd like some Krypto episodes to extend to a half-hour, so they can get into bigger adventures. Maybe have an episode where Krypto meets Brainiac and goes on a mission to destroy him before he downloads the planet's knowledge or something.

I think Lex Luthor should have a pet to be the opposing number of Krypto. I always pictured Lex having a Rottweiler or a Pitbull. As far as funny animals, I wouldn't mind seeing an adaptation of Hoppy, AKA Captain Marvel Bunny in a future episode.

I'd like it to be more "big-kid" oriented. The concept is great, but its for little tiny kids, their storylines are horrible. Its got a Clifford-esque feel to it in my perspective.

You mean Chip? I wouldn't mind seeing him. Now if they bring Chip on the show, they definitely have to bring his enemy Dr. UBX.

Ch'p...CH'P?! Are we forgetting G'nort people?! Come on, he's a dog, he should be on a show starring a super dog...he can chase Streaky!

Thanks for the info Brainatra, didn't realize Rex was so cool.

There's a mouse in the 1,000,000 version of the DCU named Googol who is the sole survivor/carrier of his whole race, so he can become a million different mice. He's cool and met Krypto (of the future), so maybe an episode where they go into the future (they've already been to the past).

How about re-write Rocket's story so it turn out thats the horse Wonder Woman rode on the cover of Wonder Woman #1? So then theres a Wonder Woman styled character.

Would like to see a big movie event with a Martian Dog that unites a JL of Animals. Along with the Martian Dog they have to save all the super heros. The twist would be at the end the dog turns out to be the real Martian Manhunter (would be funny if they made him look like kind of like K-9 from Looney Tunes) shape shifted.

Alos would love to see Bizarro's Krypto come back. Not like a clone dog but Bizzaro's lizard-thing pet. Maybe a Crow in the style of Scarecrow, maybe reveal the character is really a chicken (rolling eyes you may be but remember its a kids' show).

Adding a few new heroes would be okay, but I definitely think they need new villains more. I would also like to see Streaky get involved more often in the teammups with Ace and Dog Stars.

Krypto could enter another universe and meet Captain Carrot and the Amazing Zoo Crew.
I know nothing about these characters except they had their own comic book in
the 80's that lasted a couple of years.

Hoppy the Marvel Bunny could jet on over from Captain Marvel to help Krypto.

Finally Bat-Hound should be spin-off into his own series. ;)

See, I would be totally into that, save for one thing:

Both the Zoo Crew and Hoppy are humanoid animals, while Krypto is still a dog. It's going to be weird having a non-anthro dog running around with anthro heros unless *someone* says something.

Maybe some Red K "evolves" Krypto before zapping him into another dimension. I guess it could work that way.

And Krypto is totally going to need clothes before he goes on that adventure.
