A Batman: Black & White tale, written by Dawyne McDuffie, will be appearing in the March issue of Batman: Gotham Knights. The story, pencilled by Denys Cowan. McDuffie, who has written an upcoming episode of Justice League and is a creative force behind Kids'WB!'s Static Shock, talks about his upcoming back up tale.

"Editor Mark Chiarello was kind enough to call me up and ask me if I wanted to write a Batman story, a rhetorical question, I presume. The story, "Never Say Die" was adapted from an idea I had for Marvel's "Ghost Rider" years ago. I wanted to do a story from the point of view of a low-level criminal up against an "unstoppable force for justice." Batman was perfect for the
task."

When asked if if he'd want to write another Batman tale he replied: "Absolutely, he's a great character who offers unusual opportunities to tell human stories, while offering superhuman action."

Batman: Gotham Knights #27 will hit stands on March 20th. The comic will be 40 pages and cost $2.50US/4.25CAN.
