Cartoon Network Australia Takes Amberwood’s Benjamin Bear
OTTAWA, July 18: Cartoon Network Asia has picked up Amberwood Entertainment’s The Secret World of Benjamin Bear for broadcast on its Tiny TV preschool block in Australia and New Zealand.
Cartoon Network has picked up 52 11-minute episodes of the animated series for air on Tiny TV, a one-hour block that launches on Cartoon Network in Australia on August 15. It will air from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday and the initial lineup also includes Postman Pat, The Little Red Tractor and Merlin the Magic Puppy.
Michele Schofield, the director of programming and acquisitions for Turner Entertainment Networks Asia (TENA), commented, "A light and entertaining show featuring themes like imagination, fun, friendship and family values that will appeal to our younger viewers, The Secret World Benjamin Bear will complement our preschool block, Tiny TV.”
