A Dream Walking 1934
Organ Grinders Swing 1937
Cops Is Tops 1955

The Hyp Nut Tist 1935
Child Psykojiky 1941
Cartoons Ain't Human 1943

Finally, a cartoon with 3-D backgrounds appears on the Popeye Show. The backgrounds on A Dream Walking looked stunning. This is what we've been missing. But alas, barely any mention of the 3-D backgrounds.

It was great to see Cartoons Ain't Human with the human hand stamping the word "CENSORED". Also, they mentioned this was the final B&W Popeye cartoon, and even showed scenes from "Her Honor the Mare", which has faded terribly.

From what I've seen on the Acme Hour, many of the color Popeyes have faded pretty badly. The colors on a lot of them lean towards reds and greens. Were they done in some sort of cheap color process that doesn't age well?

Some of the color Popeyes were originally done in Cinecolor and Polacolor. Also, the TV prints were made in Eastmancolor.

In "Cartoons Aint Human" was the scene with the black Mona Lisa unedited?

It appeared to be unedited.

Is this show still on at 2-3 p.m.? I had my VCR set at that time and all I got was Hanna-Barbara stuff!

The Popeye Show airs from 1am-2am (Eastern). Right after "Adult Swim" on Sunday nights.

You probably got it confused with LNB&W, which used to be on at 2 on that night and is now on at 2 on Sat. I was kind of confused about that this weekend too, but I checked the online schedule.
