DOCTOR WHO: STORM WARNING
A four-part story written by Alan Barnes, directed by Gary Russell and produced by Big Finish Productions.
Saturdays at 6.30-7pm, repeated Sundays at 12.30am

After a dangerous encounter in the space/time vortex, the Doctor finds himself on Earth, October 1930. Or rather above it, aboard the British airship R101 on its maiden voyage over France. Also on board is a young stowaway, Charlotte 'Charley' Pollard, seeking adventure and excitement away from her stifling family atmosphere. What Charley doesn't know but the Doctor does is that the flight is destined to end in tragedy, although no-one really knows why. Not even the Doctor, although maybe the passenger in Cabin 43 can help...

Episode one: (Saturday 6 August)
It's 1930, and the airship R101 takes to the skies. But why is one of the stewards acting so strangely? Who is the unusual passenger in Cabin 43? And just what is a 1960's police box doing on board?

Anyway, this was the first Big Finish Audio Drama i have listened to and i thought it was pretty good. It was a bit slow to get going though. Cant wait for the next part.

edit - and yeah i know, too late. Next week ill bump this up with episode 2 before its broadcast.

I must admit, I've not bought ONE McGann Big Finish production. Mainly because I dislike his Doctor in the BBC books. It seemed so vague.

I did however really enjoy this story. I liked the little touches in there. The period came across well and McGann did a great job in dialogue and monologue *nice in joke about the excess of him talking to himself (and the listener).

This seems a great platform for BF and they truely deserve it. I need to buy more of them.

It's also great to have more WHO till November - then it's one month before the Xmas special. Ah, it's like being a kid again!

Hopefully BBC7 will broadcast The Chimes of Midnight later.

So aside from their being 4 BF productions, we don't know which (aside from Storm)? I was going to buy one this month, I think I'll hold out till I know which are being used...

BTW - Go listen to Dead Ringers, it's the one where Culshaw baffles Sylvester McCoy.

Well the 2nd episode is aired in around 20 mins so its time to bump up.

Remember you can listen to BBC7 via the internet as well as Digital TV and Radio.

BBC have updated the Classic Doctor Who website to feature this, with some funny trailers for the broadcasts (http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/)

Anyway:

Episode two (Saturday 13 August)
The R101 is under attack, the storm is breaking - and the passenger in Cabin 43 needs to see the Doctor.
