According to an anonymous source, the first Batman: Animated DVD will likely be the first of many Batman: Animated DVD to hit shelves, collecting episodes from the series. According to the source, WB may actually be taking the "Scooby-Doo" approach to the DVDs. Confused? Well I'll try to explain.

For the past few years, WB has been releasing both episode DVDs and direct-to-video DVDs of everyone's favorite crime fighting dog Scooby-Doo. With the renewed popularity of Batman, partly due to him regularly appearing in three shows on Cartoon Network excluding Boomerang's Superfriends, WB has realized that the Batman has the potential to be bigger than they originally imagined in terms of franchises and merchandise.

Still Confused? All this means is that WB will likely release Batman episodes on DVDs as well new Batman DTVs at regular intervals.
