Comments?

"...But that's just a little bit more than the law will allow." The moment of truth has arrived. Will the new Dukes of Hazzard movie be any good? Now is our opportunity to find out. Please only comment if you have seen or are going to see the film. We don't need any "trailer hate" in here. Of course the original Cooter would prefer you not go at all (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=145508).

The film's been cut for it's UK release

"Company chose to cut sight of illegal drug use, in line with BBFC Policy and Guidelines, in order to attain the requested category.
An uncut classification was available"

From the BBFC's website

What kind of drug use is in the film?

Being played by Willie Nelson, Uncle Jesse is now a pothead who occasionally takes some hits out in the barn, from what I've read.

To answer the drug question, the only instance is at the end of the movie. Jesse is caught in the meat shack, but he says he's just smoking meat for the bbq. The audience then sees meat hanging in the backround and thinks, "Oh, okay. I thought he was...", but then a couple other people from the movie come out with him nice and stoned.

That part was actually unnecessary. The movie altogether was great. All kinds of funny moments, great driving sequences, and a decent plot. Great movie. Alot better than I expected.

well there were the girls smoking MJ in a drom room. Other than that it was a good film.

That's right. Forgot about the sorority girls. And that actually made more sense than Uncle Jesse doing it.

Wow, critics have destroyed this movie.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. A little bit too much referencing to other Broken Lizard stuff, but it had its moments. Three stars.

I didn't know this movie was Brolen Lizard until halfway through when my sister told me. I saw this on my B-Day, and I thought it wasn't all too bad either. It had its own share of unintentionally funny moments though.

You know, I don't understand the bashing. I'm a huge fan of the television series, and yet I found no major gripes with the flick. The reason for this, I feel, is that I saw it for what it was - a send-up tribute to the Dukes, not a film trying to capture a 100% remaking of the show.

Seann William Scott is probably my favorite actor specializing in action-comedies. He was great here too, and Knoxville was pretty amusing also. Hell, Jessica Simpson didn't even annoy me, which was a total shock.

My favorite scenes were all the car chases and such. That was just plain fun.

Yeee-Haaawww!!!

Oh look I'm...

One of Jessica's most befitting roles, in my opinion. No pun intended.;) :p
