Stargate Command-Atlantis is still fighting desperately against the awesome power of the Wraith, but with the arrival of a ZPM, things are starting to look up. But new challenges lie ahead for our heroes, including the meeting of a "Wraith Runner." But is he friend or foe?

Lt. Ford is still missing, and Sheppard refuses to believe he's dead or evil. However, while on the search for the missing Earthling, our heroes are captured by one named "Ronan Dex." He seems to be a powerful and highly skilled warrior who's trying to escape from the Wraith. Why is he being pursued by them, what exactly is a "Wraith Runner," and most importantly, is he going to join Sheppard's team?

Catch the new series every Friday at 9PM EST on Sci-Fi Channel! If you miss it, it will encore at 11PM the same night.

(Wow, after midnight and NO replies in the either of the Stargate threads or Galactica, except for the one reply before the show aired). Where is everyone?)

I only saw the end of the season premeire, so I didn't see how Ford acted during that, but I hope its just the enzyme talking (as it appears to be here). I liked Ford. He was a good-natured, cheery guy (well, except when dealing with Rodney or Beckett). But that might be the reason the writers picked him to be the one to end up like this for dramatic effect. (And boy is it obvious he's beginning to become a Wraith, or Wraith-like. Man those guys are regular space vampires!)

Anyway, pretty decent episode overall. Ronan was badass like the commercials made him out to be, so nothing bad there, but not too many surprises either. I'm sure the next episode with him at Atlantis will rock, but right now he just seems to be "The new token black male to replace old token black male Ford, but is 'new and improved' with badass action!"

Rodney was his lovable jackass self, selfish and paranoid, but he did stand up to Ford a few times.

Ford and McKay stole the show. I liked how Ford hasn't gone completely nuts (though jumping in the Wraith Beam was a little much), and McKay proves once again why the show wouldn't be nearly as entertaining without him. I also hope that we'll see Ford a couple more times this season instead of just dumping him out of the storyline until the season finale.

Ronan was meh. I guess he was cool and all that, but I didn't really care about him that much.

Not a bad episode over all.

As for Ford . . . I think he is starting to lose his mind. How many times did he go from being mostly normal with Rodney to, "I think I'll kill you now"? Yeah, the enzyme or whatever is pumping through him is definately affecting his mental abilities. It seems that he's affected by changes in emotion and it'll be interesting to see how much more we see of him. I had heard that Rainbow Sun Francks wouldn't be sticking around for the entire season but I haven't heard anything in awhile so that might've changed by now...

Rodney is, as always, hilarious. "Help me! Help me!" as he's running through the forest firing off rounds and giving off his position to anyone or anything that's nearby.

Also, did anyone else think that Maj. Lorne looks a lot like a younger Ted McGinley or maybe his brother?
