Very nice PS work (assuming you use photoshop*), but I really like the rough sketch of the girl alot. You also did a terrific job posing the characters. The boy is so energetic and the girl is very liquid, nice.
And by the way, welcome to TZ! With your talent, you'll easily find a cozy crannie here -^^

First, welcome to the Drawing Board... Nice to see more and more Illustrators finding their way around these here parts. Makes me wanna cry *tears up*
ANYWAY!!
I love the style... very clean and few lines with a rather unique style for the faces. Very energetic as well. :)
hehehe... The one of your nephew reminds me of mine when he chased the dog around with the light saber I got him... :D

These are wonderful. I particularly like "the movie crew". I can totally picture an animation of them walking in slow-motion like in the beginning of Reservoir Dogs.

i'm going to put him in an environment next.
hmmm....running a muck in a city? attacking a submarine in the depths of the sea? saying "yuck" after tasting the food in the cafeteria here at work? we shall see..... :)

All of your original sketches are the coolest* I love the energy (especially in the oh-so-famous "errr" drawing; that's an excellent piece). By the way, the girl in the "errr" drawing has a sort of Gorillaz's Noodle-feel about her -- she's still totally your character, though! Which is why I love your art~
Awesome work here, colossalman. The group pic is quite delightful, the squid is horribly wonderful, and your colouring skills are first rate. Way to go! I can't wait to see more*

thanks Mary-mari, thanks Sparticus.
Mary-mari: you're right it does kind of look like Gorillaz. (which is cool) I've been looking at Koji Morimoto's Sketch book a lot lately and I think that's where I was influenced the most. thanks.
Sparticus: the inking & coloring are Photoshop. I drew paths with the pen tool over my sketch, selected the path and after customizing the brush tool so it had a thick and thin stroke (like a calligraphy pen) I then applied the "Stroke Path" feature. this was just for the outline. I then filled in the color.
thanks again. :)

Some very nice stuff you have there. Peronally I like the girl under to the Star Wars guy the best. I wish i had Photoshop, I'm stuck with MS paint :P. I don't use it much, I like to do sketches by hand, be nice to colour them on PS.

Very nice style. A bit too anime-ish for my taste, but it looks solid nevertheless. Looking forward to your short comic!

Ah, awesome. The "Pen & Gull" characters have excellent expressions--very emotive and alive! And I really like the rocket lamb; that's quite an idea there* The barbarians are great and have a kind of Disney's Mulan style to them (which is very cool).
Great designs here, colossalman! The short comic sounds/looks fantastic.

Wow, what can I say? Love your work and the range of characters and ideas, too many individual good pieces to mention but I did laugh out loud at RocketLamb and the Gull character looks fantasstic, there's almost a paper placn quality to him I can't quite pin my finger on but definitely a wonderful fluid character.
Looking forward to seeing more :D

Awe inspiring dude, awe inspiring.
You seem to have a really defined line of action on the super hero. In all his poses he has a real thrust in one direction or another.
Good work.
