I saw this at: Ain't It Cool News. Thought this might be interesting. If you want to be surprised, don't read the following, but I don't think it says too much.
SMALLVILLE - What’s Ahead
Last week, Steve Younis of the Superman Homepage asked “Smallville” scriptmeister Al Gough a lot of good questions.
Among the things learned from Gough’s answers:
* We’ll see fewer Kryptomutants-of-the-week in the second half of the season. There were so many in the first half because producers wanted to ensure that people who didn’t watch the show religiously understood how the creators redefined the properties of Kryptonite for the show.
* Clark will soon discover his heat vision.
* We’ll likely see more emphasis on Clark learning of his Kryptonian heritage in the second season.
* Lex will conspire with his hot college girlfriend (against dad Lionel) over a four-episode arc.
* Clark’s first stab with journalism will apparently not go well.
* “Smallville’s” supervillains will continue to be costume-free.
* Metropolis is about three hours from Smallville.
* It’s “highly doubtful” Bruce Wayne will come to Smallville this season, but overtures may soon be made to AOL Time Warner to bring the future Caped Crusader for a guest shot next season. Gough says utilizing other DC superheroes involves “licensing” hurdles.
* “You will see Lois Lane and Perry White and these sort of people pop up in the series,” says Gough.
