Shoddy bare bones DVDs, "special features" usually consist of interactive menus (wow we don't see those very often on DVDs do we) and scene selection (woah! that is special a DVD with scene selection OMG!!)...maybe produciton notes or trailer every blue moon or so.

Snapper Cases, okay Snap defenders remember this, WB has more money than Fox , yet their DVD covers are a WHOLE LOT cheaper looking and a lot less durable. And then theres "infinifilm" oooooo ohhh! wow its special so we give it a keep case, so WB the biggest DVD comapny of them all has special edition DVDs that are about the equivilant of a normal fox or universal one or anchor bay who has no where near the money WB has even they can still afford keep cases its just typical WB cheapness pheh...

Horrible DVD marketing....hello Warner I beleive we have told you time and time again that we hate best ofs and I think sales on things like simpsons season one should show you that WE HATE best of sets.

Mistreatment of telivision content, when smaller companies like Fox are churning out high quality products of popular telivision shows Warner is "Debating" whether the premeir episode of their top rated shows should be released on a bare bones snapper case DVD....in europe....and the "possibility" region 1...gee WB sure is great! Oh theres also a little cartoon called Looney Tunes if you guys forgot you own the rights to it...

Neglection of movies, after all this time of waiting for TMNT 2 and 3 on DVD....I'm still waiting

Ignorance, they ignore sales numbers, they ignore profit statistics, petitions...they ignore fans, they don't care what we want, that's obvious but they could at least make an effort not to suck, in fact sometimes they are so ignorant I think they have to actually make attempts with an intention to suck as hard as they do

Slow...apparently Looney Tunes is being "cleaned up" for its DVD debute....in 2003, it DOES NOT, take that long to release a cartoon on DVD, they are just being lazy about it according to inside sources

Double sided DVDs....I HATE THESE.

okay thats my list of reasons WB sucks...any one want to make some additons?

that's gonna be along list...but I will only list a few:
I hate WB for:

Batman & Robin
Batman Beyond
TNBA designs
making only 24(?) TNBA episodes
not continuing TNSA
no DVDs, but complaining about illegal bootlegs (I would throw all of them away if I had the chance to get them on DVD)
not making a Two-Face movie DTV (or DTDVD)
making "Critters"

I think this pretty much sums it up for me:

For being themselves.

They were ok until AOL bought them. Then they closed the great WB stores (where I worked part time). Luckily they didn't end DC direct.

You know what bothers me most about WB? They have no email address where we can send complaints. Talk about ignoring your fans.

Woh!!! Don't EVEN get me started on AOL Time Warner!!! *evil eyes* Those loser. Well, first off I agree with the list already..listed,lol. If WB was pissing you off now, be in for more. Ever since they've been bought by AOL things have been going down hill. I LOVED the Warner Studio Store, I used to go there alllll of the time. And then they up and close! And where is all the the merchandise that they have? no where! It SHOULD be online, but there's is not a gosh darn thing on the WB site. It's incredible! WB is in serious trouble if they don't get their heads out of their arses and clean up their acts. It was a mistake to join AOL, such a gigantic mistake so far. All right...done venting about AOL Time Warner, all better now!

I'd like to re-post this story I heard from Harlen Ellison:

THE SETUP: A board meeting at WB discussing a new Secret Six type movie.

The rundown:

WB exec #1: So we have this story here, about the Secret Six (it's a different name, but I can't remember it). Any thoughts?
WB exec #2: Sounds good to me.
WB exec #3: Me, too.
Harlen Ellison: You guys know this is exactly like a DC comic book called the SECRET SIX?
WB execs: "Oh, no..." "You think we'll be sued?"
Harlan Ellison: You guys are dumber than a bag of doorknobs."
WB exec #1: What? What do you mean?
Harlan Ellison: This is WARNER BROTHERS, right?
WB exec #1: Yes!
Harlan Ellison: Owned by TIME WARNER, right?
WB exec #1: Yes...
Harlan Ellison: Well, Time Warner owns DC Comics! You guys own the Secret Six!

And, c'mon, even if they didn't know who the Secret Six is, they shoulda known they own DC...

Well, I dunno. To be fair, if it was't for WB, who owns DC Comics in the first place, none of these four TV shows we all love and the movies that go with them would have existed in the first place!

And, I think that WB is trying to redeem itself from past mistakes (Don't we all make mistakes from time to time?) by giving Dini, Timm & Co. virtual autonomy on Justice League.

I think that, once the WB execs are shown where the massive profit lies in bringing these four TV shows out on DVD, they will do so en masse. After all, only an idiot would pass up an opportunity to make major ca$h.

I think what WB needs is a Dini/Timm DC Universe fan who also happens to be business suave explain to them where the profit lies. I'm sure they've gotten people who are one or the other, but not both. But when that one magical person comes along (and I'm sure they will), you'll see WB change its tune faster than the pied piper after he's been kicked in the balls. :D

Allowing Richard Donner to be fired from the Superman sequels (and possibly for helping him to get fired)

Making Jon Peters a producer for Superman 5.

It's just simply amazing how they drove both the Superman and Batman series into the ground. Both series started out on the right foot, as I'm sure Batman: Year One may appear to, but then decided to toss it away for profit, which in the end didn't even work out as well if they had just let it be.

(And what's REALLY wrong with snap cases and double sided DVDs? What are you doing with your DVD cases than gets so much wear and tear? Mine sit on a shelf. Speaking of shelves, selfspace is very handy, and double sided DVDs make more room for other DVDs.)

Mind you, WB has done some good things, I just can't think of any right now. :D

They look very cheap, and Warner can definatly afford using alpha cases yet they use these crummy ones that are not only not as durable but dent easily and don't shut after a while thay are also annoying to try to stack and they just show how much warner DOESN'T care about making a good product.

Double sided DVDs are also very cheap looking and this is also done just so Warner can save a dollar only to spend on another half assed show like Smallville where Metropolis a city on the eastern seacoast is magically located a day's car drive from Smallville Kansas, and then release it on DVD in region 2 only in a bare bones best of set. Do not defend snappers when you and I both know they are a cheap way for Warner to save a buck so execs win and customer loses....and definatly don't defend warner becuase they need a WAKE UP! call big time... :p

its not the quality of (most of) their content, becuase Justice League and Samurai Jack both kick, but the presentation and fan appreciation is SUPER lacking, anytime a good franchise goes to Warner I cringe, I was so said to hear Warner is making T3 and not fox becuase I know it will be awesome but the DVD will be in a lil cardboard case with a trailer and maybe some production notes and my "special features" will include interactive menus and scene selection (wow warner thanks no one else provides us with those they really are special!) I was also saddened when I heard WB is going to be making the new TMNT show {a 2D toon which was approved over the awesome 3d pilot (I have seen it it was AWESOME} but thats waner for you) feh...Did you know they are the only major DVD company to not release any of their TV content the right way (season sets) as low as sales do with Best ofs they continue to do best of sets while I am dying to own the entire old adam west batman show, which I was hoping fox still had the rights to, but reportidly don't, so I guess I will never see it, I wonder if anyone at Warner even cares that they are the laughing stock of the DVD industry, I know that they know they make crappy products they just don't care, which is why even if they read these boards they will continue to do horrid DVDs becuase they don't care about fans AT ALL to no extent, I am sure most comapnies don't but at least they try to pretend and they actually make intelligent decisons that will make the fans HAPPY and rise their profits...phew

X Human, I keep care of my DVDs quite well. It's not the wear and tear issue I have with snappers. To see my top ten reasons for hating snappers, you can check that post and others about this subject out here (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14646) .
