Well in my area we're on a Heat Alert until Monday evening. The highs on Sunday and Monday are about to reach the record highs for the year. I know the US is gripped by a heat wave with the three Hs (hazy, hot and humid), but tell me and others how hot it is in your area. It seems the hot weather is going to stay around for the rest of the summer.

This week we reached a record high two days in a row that reached 97 degrees. It was just terrible. Luckily we are getting rain in the forecast so we are going to get a small cool down in the 80s for a few days, might go back to 90 again later next week though.

(wait for audience to say "How hot was it?")
It was so hot..(wait for laugh) It was so hot, the Beverly Hills police have been stopping Zsa Zsa Gabore just for the breeze from getting slapped in the face.
It was nice in the mid 80's today but tomorrow they say we're supposed to get record hotness degrees. still just in the mid 90's, but that's hot for around her in July. I'm not sure if I believe it will happen though.

Summer FINALLY came, two months later than usual, to my neck of the woods - and it's in the mid 20's (in celsius) - that would put us up to around 30 with the humidex. That would be 86 in farenheit - that's a good heat for me. I love the CRAZY heat sometimes, but it gets old really fast.

That's cold over there in BC. Here, we've reached 40 degrees.

The BC Interior was smokin' in the high 30's all summer - but on the coast we still think "wetter is better", it would seem. Of course, over here, it's a dry heat. ;)
I know that the humidity has been atrocious back east this summer, though. Don't worry, the blizzards will be back, soon enough!

Must be great on Vancouver Island, though. All that water and wind. Speaking of wind, it's been rather windy here. Rainy, too. AND add the heat, so it's hot and sticky but not dry.
YAY!! Snow!! I wonder if Calgary will get a freak blizzard this summer.

Here in San Jose, California it's sorta been around the high 90s or 100s this past week. It's too hot... At least its not humid here. ;)

Central Ark., 100 degrees.....add the humidity/dewpoint, and it felt like 110. Sunday's weather, high 101, could feel like up to 115.

Well, here where I live, it's been around early to mid 90s at the most. Luckily, I've been staying inside most of this summer.

I had to do band practice in 90-100 weather. And this was EARLY in the morning. I've never sweated so excessively before. Tomorrow, we're supposed be around 98-100 with the index to 110. I got a major tan, so I'm darker than usual.
These are such times that I wish I didn't have a black car and a leather steering wheel. >_<

We've been having low-to-mid-90s the last several days. And since I was helping with a kiddie softball camp for 4 hours a day (20 hours total) I got some good color on my legs (they aren't white anymore:p). Right now it's actually cooled down to upper-70s because of clouds. I'm just hoping it won't be too hot when we go to Portland in a week for softball. Softball in 100 degree heat is miserable.

We've been over 90 degrees for 15 out of the last 16 days. That's a pretty long heat wave for Minnesota.
(That's right! We don't get snow all year round! :anime: )
EDIT: Oh yeah, and when you factor in the humidity...most of those days had a "feels like" temp that was over 100.

Today it was 103 degrees. It feels like 115 degrees. It felt like an oven out there in nothern Illinios. We've been having a drought this summer too.

We've been in the 90s for most of this week (the hottest this Summer has been so far). It was so hot that it was even warm at night, and we actually went in our backyard pool at 8PM just to cool down. (You heard me right. 8PM! That's insane!)
Luckily, some rain storms have developed in a few nearby cities today, so things have been cooling down around my side of the neighborhood recently. I don't know how long this coolness will last, though. I hear the heat might pick up again pretty soon.
Well, Japan is not so much the heat as the humidity (http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/local/JAXX0047?from=search_current). Have a look at that "feels like" listing.
And those damned ginormous mosquitos!

Can "damn" be used as a quantifier?

Today should get up to 100, as well as tomorrow. I'm going to stay inside all day with the fans on and the blinds down.

Here in Southern Virginia there was a guy frying an egg on the sidewalk on local TV. No joke.

It's been brain fryingly hot here so much so I was recently contemplating the deeper meaning behind the letter 'K.' Sunday night it was really hot and there were lightning/hail storms, and at first I thought I was hallucinating. The power went out and still isn't on.(I'm currently at a library.)

Today was my first day on my new job (as a role-player for local police academy training sessions), and as luck would have it my assignment required me to stand out in the heat for about five hours while waiting for trainees to come out and question me. What's scary is that we started early this morning and finished by 10:30 AM, but I swear it was at least 90 degrees F by then. Tomorrow's supposed to feel like Satan's oven as well. Bring on the rain!

Here in Southern Virginia there was a guy frying an egg on the sidewalk on local TV. No joke.Saw a broadcast of someone doing the same thing on local news today. Might have been the Virginia broadcast, but I know that inner-city temperatures always sky-rocket to insane levels. I was stupid enough to walk barefoot for forty-five seconds from the pool to my house and my feet were burned by the time I hit the grass. Yes, I am an idiot.

Yeah, usually it's hot enough that I'd feel like punching myslef to a sleeping state where I wouldn't realize it was so damn hot. However lately, with the rain and all, the tempature has eased.

Ugh...I wish a hurricane can form somewhere and bring forth rain. Of course that'll be bad because it will flood and... yeah. But I want rain. =[
It's so hot, we haze a thick cloud of haze over the entire city. The dew point humidity, and absolutely no wind makes it worse. In a way, it sheilds us from the majority of the heat, and it makes for great sunsets. :p
However, I really don't wanna be sweating at 8 in the morning.

Yeah, that's the funny thing. I can be in my room at night with a light on and be comfortable, but as soon as the lights go out and I get in my bed, I gotta crank the fan on medium.
'cause it gets so hot in my bed.
... I mean, like, heat hot.
... enough for me to take my shirt off.
... wait.

Strangely enough, it's been fairly cool for the last couple of days. Yesterday it rained and the high didn't even reach 70. Today it was sunny and probably 75. Really pleasant for mowing the lawn. However, it's supposed to be 90 in a day or two again. So much for the pleasant weather.

It's so hot I turned the door handle to get into my house and burnt my hand. I had to ice it for about an hour.

It's been fairly warm here, but today it's not hot at all. According to Weather Channel's website, it's 69 degrees here at the moment. I almost wish it'd stay this way, as I don't like the summer heat.

In Raleigh we have been on a streak of about twenty or so straight days where temperatures hit 90F or higher. Yesterday and today were record days with temperatures of about 101 on each day.
Even if you're outside for just one minute you begin to sweat like crazy.

It was in the 90s today here in MA. That hardly affects me since it's late July when I'm more used to the heat. It effects me more when it's earlier in the summer.

We had storms roll through yesterday, and they brought with them lower temps (low-mid 80s) and low humidity. Definitely better than the last few days.
