Well, first off, everything Marvel is releasing this month pales in comparison to the RELAUNCH OF SHE-HULK. That's right, true believers, it's compressed storytelling, comedic hijinks, titanic fights, whimsical adventures, amusing references, and the RETURN OF HAWKEYE, all in the glorious Marvel manner! The sheer bliss makes my head want to explode! EXCELSIOR!

*phew*

Seriously, though, I'm excited beyoned excitement that She-Hulk is back, and in a world of Infinite Identity House of Crises Secret Wars, it's desperately needed. Besides, although it's an odd book to feature Hawkeye, who cares? It's Hawkeye. Everybody loves Hawkeye, and I'm looking forward to Slott's take on him. Could there be another beau in Jen's life? Could be...

Buy She-Hulk or Man-Thing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-Thing) will come to your house and burn your skin off with his corrosive slime.

Other big news includes the start of "The Other" in the Spidey books. I never thought there was a way I could not be interested in Peter David and Mike Wieringo on a Spider-Man book, but lo, Marvel has a found a way. I'll sit this crossover out and maybe pick up Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (which is a great title) when the hubbub dies down.

I will probably give Keith Giffen's new Howling Commandos title a shot, because it's too weird and the art is too neat to ignore.

It's a good month for the Ultimate books, also. The second chapter of Warren Ellis' perpetually late Ultimate Galactus trilogy gets to end, while Ultimate Fantastic Four takes on Ultimate Namor, which could be very interesting indeed. I've always like Namor, so hopefully the Ultimization will go well. Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spider-Man are trucking along in their usual styles.

The New Avengers fight ninjas. Bold storytelling. Still, The Sentry looks kinda cool, and I gotta admit: I've been suckered into curiousity over the Ronin stuf.

This months's solicitations have at least three perpetually, infamously late title's shipping: Granov's Iron Man, Quesada's Daredevil: Father, and Secret War. All three, though fairly good on their own merits, have lost a lot of steam because of the slow releases.

Young Avengers seems to now the feature the Vision on a more permanent basis, potentially fused with Iron Lad's (Iron Lad?!?) armor or somesuch. At any rate, neat to have him back.

That Captain America cover sure is purdy. The Brubaker/Epting run has rocked supremely, and I'm sure this one will be no exception.

Unfortunately, the Runaways are apparently going to meet the New Avengers. This means the one thing I've been dreading since the book's relaunch: a Wolverine appearance. Oh well. It'll still be fun, I'm sure.

Curiously, there's no TPBs solicited. Odd.

HOUSE OF M #8 (of 8) - Okay, let's see if this "rocks my world" as well then. I'm hoping that this won't end up lame [like everyone is], and that, if the revelation is good, it will have lasting important consequences on the Marvel universe. I wonder if that cover is representative for the story inside... [as that nowadays never seems to be the case anymore]

FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #1 - I've got to get around to subscribing to this soon, most importantly because I'm very interested in this title :) But also because or else I'll have nine of the twelve issues as a result of only subscribing to three of the four titles it will span across, and that's very annoying. I live in Holland so I can't just walk in the store and pick this up.

MARVEL KNIGHTS SPIDER-MAN #19 - Maybe PAD will do better on this book than Hudlin has been doing...

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #525 - "A foe that Spidey has never defeated"... hmm, think, think...

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #84 - It's about time Cat made it back into the titles, although her wig still bugs me.

SPIDER-MAN: HOUSE OF M #5 (of 5) - Seeing as I've only received #1 so far, I'm really wondering how the story ends up like this!

SPIDER-GIRL #91 - Now this sounds like a fun issue! I love the Spider Shoppe [and some of the costumes on the cover are pretty cool], so it's great that it will be the center of a story :) I'm also foreseeing a Venom-Goblin. This title is getting closer and closer to #100, which I'm expecting to be really cool :)

NEW AVENGERS #12 - Hmm, this sounds kind of weird. Not really my kind of story, but I'll give it a chance.

SECRET WAR #5
FANTASTIC FOUR #532
PUNISHER #26

the first great month for marvel in a while. there is one thing i am still suprised about house of m, consistency. i found it hard to believe that a mini series that in which the next issue comes out every 2 weeks has not been late.

i didn't think marvel took part in crossovers, but i won't call the spider-man crossover a crossover. mostly because all the issues are written by the same person. i really was dissapointed when peter david came in to the new title to replace mark waid, i am unfamiliar with david's work but i hear nothing but great things about him. so i'll check this story out, but mostly because i need to get more spider-man comics. hopefully waid will come to the title once the crossover is done.

ultimate fantastic four will no doubt be excellent durring mark millar's run. i see 2 posibilities for this months issue. it will make me like namor, or hate him even more. still, it will be interesting to see the ultimate version and if we are to expect some sort of love triangle between sue, reed, and namor.

the director's cut for ghost rider is coming a bit to fast it seems. and does any one even remember secret war?

[$2.50] New Avengers #12
[$2.99] Young Avengers #9
[$2.99] Captain America #12
[$2.99] Runaways #9
[$2.99] New X-men #19

TOTAL: $31.42

I really like the cover to the final issue of House of M, nothing like Wolverine about to strike on a weary Magneto. I don't know if I'll be getting a Spidey title anytime soon, I'm not enamored with this whole 4 month crossover that's going to be going on, but i must admit Wieringo's art is very appealing. It's great to see She-Hulk back, her last series was amazing to read and I'm glad it's being relaunched like it is. Ultimate Namor making his debut, well I'm sure that's going to make things interesting for the Fantastic Four for sure. And Young Avengers, is that the Vision in the group? Very interesting if it is.

Ghost Rider #2
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1
Marvel Knights Spider-Man #19
Amazing Spider-Man #525
Young Avengers #9

Punisher #26
Darevedil vs. Punisher #5

All of the Ultimate titles I already have subscriptions to, so I'm getting those as well. I don't know what to make of the big storyline in the Spidey books, but I'll check it out for at least the first month. And even though I missed it the first time around, I might check out She-Hulk (I hear good things about the series). I figure with all the "dark" books I always get, it might be a nice change of pace.

All of you guys that keep claiming you're going to sit out the Crossover in the Spiderman books, but still want to check out PAD's run on the title afterwords, consider this:

What if after the crossover, if you didn't read the story in the crossover, you're left in the dark as to what the hell's going on in PAD's book after it's over? Also, every single issue, (or 3 issues per month) seems to read like a stand alone story. In October, one book focuses on Peter, another on Mary Jane, and another on Aunt May. So really, it's almost like single issue stories. So I say unto you, "Why are you fearing this Crossover?!? Just buy the issues you want, (i.e., the PAD issues) if you don't want to buy the whole thing..."

Me, I'm looking forward to "the Other", and definently looking forward to She-Hulk!

I'll take a look at She-Hulk since I've heard alot of good things about and Ghost Rider and see what's different about this one since the last series.
UFF, USecret, USpidey, are on my look before buy list.
