Can't say I liked this episode at all, save Stewie's increasing pitch at the end (That joke wasn't all that funny the first go-round...they should've just did it the once).

Though..."Ma if you want this three way to happen..." wins the 'WTF' award for the year.

Well, I guess Brian just can't catch a break with tha ladies. First his old lady gets hit by a car, then his next love rejects him. Oh well, I guess that explains why he has been acting like a douch in this season.

save Stewie's increasing pitch at the end (That joke wasn't all that funny the first go-round...they should've just did it the once). I agree about that one (as does... everyone). The second time was okay because, well, it WAS a gag. The first time was just annoyingly long... dead air.

But I liked the rest of the episode a lot.

It was so-so. Stewie's high-pitched voice about Brian's book was WAAYY too long. I actually yelled "shut up" to my TV.

But it had some funny moments, like Chris not being afraid of that evil monkey. And I really laughed at the "Snorks" blooper. So, I guess that snorkle was also used for um...something else. :D

(P.S. I noticed that Nancy Cartwright was listed in the credits. From my understanding, she voiced in "Snorks" before "The Simpsons". Did she voice the female Snork in this episode?)

I can't help you there, but it seems that the folks at Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org/) are relatively quick on the draw (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Mayer_%28pop_singer%29) when it comes to Family Guy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Guy).

(I realize this isn't the episode's first airing, but having looked up John Mayer to get the reference, and then seeing the reference referenced really amused me)

As for the episode itself... I feel the same way about it as I have for most of the new episodes I've seen: meh. Mostly unfunny, with a side of trying-too-hard.

I thought the episode was pretty funny, although it appears that I'm the only one that didn't really find the Stewie joke about Brian's book that funny. I laughed when he started doing it, but after a while it got boring, and the second time was just dumb. This is one of the only times I've ever seen Family Guy repeat a joke (the only other I can think of is "Sssss... Aaah!" from the Willy Wonka parody, which was a good joke). I liked how they brought back Quagmire's thing with feet, though. Very nice date, Glen. Very nice. For the camera. "Glen, you can have this rose." "What? Even after I drugged you and tried to have sex with your unconcious body?" "WHAT?" "I mean, okay!" The ending was kind of cruel, though. Brian really does have the worst luck with women. I thought the naked thing was pretty funny too, even though they used it in the commercial. Also, the scene where everyone's running around was pretty funny, too.

I liked when Chris set the bag of poo on fire and the guy in the wheelchair (I forgot his name) yelled "DOODY" and his wife said "I'll change you in a minute".:D

I remember disliking the Stewie novel gag when I first saw it, but I must admit it IS fun to work that type of talking into everyday speech to those familiar with the gag.

"Oh, you studying for a test, huh? Got a big, uh, got a big start on it? Hmmm? You think you know everything they're going to ask? Mmm? Have you memorized all of the vocab words? Got a big bite on that? Mmm? Allotted yourself enough time per question to do all the problems without having to rush? Mmmm? Got an idea of the secret extra credit question? Mmm? Any hints given in class as to what it might consist of? Am I bothering you asking you all these questions? Mmm? Are you prepared for such distractions during the test? Mmm? Some guy has a cold and keeps coughing during the entire hour? Mmm? Are you prepared for THAT? You gonna get enough sleep tonight? Mmm? Gonna get, uh, a full eight hours? Mmm? You gonna lay off the all-night partying for once? Mmm? Gonna use a pen or a pencil? If the pencil tip breaks do you have an extra on hand? Mmm? You know this test counts for 1/3 of your grade? Mmm? Well anyway, good luck with the test."

it appears that I'm the only one that didn't really find the Stewie joke about Brian's book that funny. What the heck? I'm pretty sure NOBODY has complimented that joke, either in this talkback or the FOX talkback. And in fact almost everybody has criticized it.

"hi its brian. i just wanted to call to see what you were doing. well..ima hang up now just in case your trying to call me...okay...ima hang up in...3......2......1.......HELLO?"

"hey its brian. just listening to our song. i just wanted to call you again. let me give you my home phone number again just in case you forgot it-"voicemail full"- damnit"

"hi its me again your voicemail was full so i got you this answering machine. soooooooooo whats up?"

dang. it sounds like my obbsessed friend who cant stop calling. it was funny when brian was playing the gutar and he got the phone thrown at him. that was unexpected. funny too. Stwie's high piched gag at the end was annoying. I acually changed the channel for a monute and changed it back and he was still talking. The whole Doug the zit thing was funny.

Overlong scenes are typical of Family Guy, of course. Remember the one where Peter injures his leg, and sits there, holding his knee, yelling "OOOH!", gasp for breath, "OOOH!", gasp for breath, "OOOH!", gasp for breath, for nearly a minute?
