Because it is a word which the automatic censor has decided is inappropriate for a family forum.

And that is a word which is considered too confusing on a forum where you are not a moderator. It should be clear who a moderator is so members know who to contact. If people label themselves moderators who are not, it's just not productive or required.

Terms which imply some sort of staff or ownership of this board are not allowed either, simply for the reason I stated.

I think they are pretty full up on moderators right now.
I wouldn't worry about being a one.
It shouldn't be the only reason you want to be here.
Just relax and have fun talking about cartoons and stuff.
I suspect if you ask most mods that's how they want to be spending most of their time here.

It's a recommended forum policy that moderators have to be at least 18 years old. There are a few exceptions, but it doesn't happen too often.

i want to be a moderator because i could help out in my forum if i get one and because being a moderator is cool but mostly because i could help outthat's a good reason for wanting to become one, yes. but most mods are already picked by the chief mods and already existing mods for that reason. basically, in order to become a moderator, it helps to have a little expertise or experience in the field for which forum to moderate

as others have already stated though, don't be expecting modship right away if at all. just post meaningful messages around the forums and have fun! if we, the moderators of TZ, decide we'd like you to join our ranks, we'll let you know
