Variety Shows, News Shows

Does anyone remember Laffalympics? I think a variety show might turn out something like that.
I rather like the idea of a news show, though. They could set up AS like a whole station, with SGC2C being the talk show, have the news show, and then do some parodies of infomercials and soap operas....

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I liked laffalympics, myself, so I think of that as a good thing!

I'd like to see Cartoon Network do a news type show on animation news that often gets over looked by main stream media. I don't know if the show would be successful or not, but I am sure if done right, it would get quite a few viewers. But I wouldn't want it to be confined to Adult Swim, but something that covered everything and aired independently of any other block.
