Plot: Red walks past a pool hall; the wolf sees her and pursues. But Red is oblivious to his come-ons. The wolf short-cuts to granny's house; when Red arrives, granny lets the wolf dress as up and attack. The action pauses for a phone call (granny places her grocery order), some late arrivals, and an odd-looking, egg-headed fella, carrying a guitar case, walks around aimlessly throughout the cartoon....
Comments: Funny cartoon. Lots of stuff you'd expect to see in a Tex Avery cartoon. I also love the ending! It cracks me up all the time (in fact, one time I used the closing line to a teacher at a Parent/ Teacher night just to be funny. Boy, did I get in trouble).
Oh, yeah, anyone have any idea who does the voice for the egg-headed guy in this cartoon? The Internet Movie Databse credits the actor as Arthur Q. Bryan. But, Bryan didn't start working with Warner Brothers until 1939 (or was it 38?). Maybe Mel Blance did the voice. The voice does sound like Sylvester the Cat.
Bloopers: The first time you see the egg-headed guy, the wolf has his hat on at one moment, then in another, it's in his hand! Also, Red's basket dissapears a couple of times.
Technical Stuff: Made in 1937. Directed by Tex Avery. Re-issued, probably, in 1945.
