Either you hit submit before you finished typing or this should be titled "this is not a thread worth looking at!" :wakko:

Lepodactylous Man, what do you mean "armpit of the world, PA?" (in the location) Everyone knows the armpit of the world is NJ!

Well I feel that every state has its own "Armpit"
BUT...
If you saw my living conditions...
you'd think that "Old Spice Anti-Perspirant"
was the agent-orange
meant for hillbilly/amish

Hmm... maybe we should make it one of the forum rules that it's Illegal to badmouth New Jersey...
...since it *IS* the better state of the two, especially ;)

Thank you, Colin. I second that! ;)
(My history teacher gave us papers about the 13 colonies. New Jersey's description? "Overshadowed by New York.")
And I don't understand this thread either.

Compared to Texas, all the other states are inferior!!!!

Actually, I probably shouldnt even be defeending PA. As they say there's Philly and there's a whole lot of Alabama in between. We're like what Quebec is to Canada.
So I guess "This is not a pipe" translates into "state war" huh? ;)

ALL OF YOU ARE WRONG! Not Pennsylvania...not New Jersey...not Texas....not even NEW HAMPSHIRE can beat...
DELAWARE!! *IT* is the best!!
You will all perish before our mighty blue hen chickens and hick armies!! Bow to them! BWAHAHAHAHA!
....well, it's true. Delaware rocks. :D
....
Oh, and I dunno the pipe reference. But 'post the picture' isn't a pipe, if that's the point you're trying to make. ;)

Please, Texas has Counties bigger than Delaware. Besides, my bratty Step-Sister was born in Delaware, so it is obviously a silly state.

Maybe Lep was trying to post a pic but had trouble. I do that. Usually I just give a link to something because actual pics/text hog space and can be problemsome....

Whatever this thread was supposed to be about, it has clearly transmuted into another subject, so I went ahead and renamed it.

Hey! At least we're not known as New York and Philly's dumping grounds! :p
Hey BB, where in Delaware are you from? I kinda live there as well. There's upper DE which is pretty normal and there's "slower lower DE." I have partial allegiance to upper DE.

I dunno... PA Drivers are pretty bad, too... They have no idea what the turn signals are used for... their roadways are messed up... (yes, you can only go straight in the left lane into oncoming traffic, the right lane is for right turns only...)... they also seem to confuse the Gas Pedal and the Brake Pedal all the time... either that, or they don't know what the gas pedal is used for so only apply minimal pressure to it...
...needless to say, PA is not a state I'll be going back to willingly any time soon... 4 years there was too long =X

None of those can compare to the Rhode Island intersection drivers. Or the people on the I-5. Yes, California is known for bad drivers.
Meanwhile, I'm not gonna go around saying that my state's the best 'cause.........well.......it's not. {shrugs} The little itty-bitty state doesn't even have a major league baseball team!

Yeah, PA drivers, particularly Philly drivers can be pretty bad. However, if you ever visit Paris, watch out! I dont know if their drivers are bad or just plain old malevolent, but they do not stop for pedestrians! I almost got ran over at least 2 or 3 times. It was a very pleasant experience.

Failure, I live in "Slowe Lower." In Millsboro, Sussex county, in fact. I agree, lower Delaware is boring....it's melded offa me! :D
You want nasty, drive in DE! We have a crash daily in one road...near Wilmington. It's awful. >.<

I shall smite Colin for his insubordination against PA!!
I go to college in PA, and my home is in PA. I agree, our roads are horrible. And yes, my dad never really uses turn signals. So does that make me the best driver in PA??? Huh? HUh? HUH??? :bosko:
But anyway, I never encountered the left lane straight/right lane turn thingie before....well, a few times, like for ramps on exits and whatnot, but those don't really count.
And I'm gonna hafta say, Pittsburgh is a pretty nice city. It used to be the steel capital of the US, so if it weren't for us, then, well, uh, there'd be no steel 30 years ago? Er, um, yeah. But I still say it's a pretty nice city, despit the fact that it's a triangle...

Oooh... another annoying thing I forgot about pennsylvanian drivers is that they drive BELOW the speed limit in the PASSING lane on the highway... AUGH!!!

They could try that here in Texas. They'll end up dead, but they could try it. >=]
What's the speed limit in PA? Here in TX it's 70/65 on most out of city highways/freeways (70day, 65night)

Hmm...change PA to NJ and that sounds just like the driving around here, especially on routes 17 and 80 and the Turnpike. Then again, we got all the New Yorkers coming into our state to wreak havoc on our tiny suburban roads.

I'm pretty sure 87% of the drivers out there have no clue as to how to use their turn signals. They should be shot.
Not killed, just shot...like in the foot or something. Yeah...

Well, in my section of New Jersey, we don't have that problem (well, not that often) ... we just have Grandma or Grandpa driving 25 in the 50...
...and another thing I love about driving in Jersey... our drivers have such attitudes while driving, we could give New Yorkers a run for the money... hehe =)

In the December 2 issue of The Washington Post they "officially" declared Battle Mountain, Nevada as the "armpit of America." If any of you get The Washington Post in your library, track this article down and read it (it's the cover story in The Washington Post Magazine). It's both funny and disturbing at the same time!

I never said anywhere was the Armpit of America. I just said that TX was the best, and that NMexicans couldn't drive. Cause they can't. If you're blind, move to NM and they'll probably give you a DL..even if you're 5.

Well, if you're from Texas that might explain why the NM drivers seem so lousy. We're trying to run you off the road without seeming too obvious about it. :p

Oh yeah, we got that too up in this remote corner of the state. Yet another fun addition to our congested roads.
A friend of mine has this bizarre hatred of the state of New Hampshire. I asked her why she hated it, and she said, "I don't know. It's up there...in New England..." It was actually a funny conversation.
