OK, I posted this on one of Cal's old threads, but I liked the idea too much, I needed to share it (If you don't like it, then :p ).

Well slap my pajamas and call me Fred. I had an idea.

Future Smallville eppy: How about Clark goes to a conference for teens. There he meets young Bruce Wayne, a lonely orphan, Barry Allen, a slow but honest kid, Harold Jordan, a high flying hotshot, and, let's say, Dinah Lance, a spunky brunette. Chaos strikes. Most of the teens are turned into Kryptozombies. The above mentioned teens have to crusade to save the day.

I do believe I'm getting goosebumps. :)

What does everyone think?

May I take you off of my Xmas card list now, or would you like to redeem yourself? ;)

I will try. You see...I am of the opinion that filling Smallville with "comic guest stars" is not the way to go. While the fanboy in me would love to see Bruce Wayne, Lois, and others...I think they should not go that route, because the show loses it's punch, and any credibility it had. It truly becomes DCU's Creek...

I have some of the same sentiments. As a fan, I would love to see cameos by just about anyone, just so I could exclaim "Hey! That's Bruce Wayne or etc." But if it doesnt fit in the storyline and they're doing it merely for the novelty effect, I'd rather have them avoid it completely.

You have a point. However, the mere idea makes my heart skip a beat... :wakko:

A Bruce Wayne cameo could make sense. I see Bruce as about the same age as Lex, and he could be on a business trip to Smallville (let's not ask why Bruce would go to the Crap Factory and just listen :D ). There he meets Clark through Lex, uses keen observation skills and deduces that something's not right with Clark. Bruce probably wouldn't open up about everything about himself, but it'd still be cool.

kid_flash hit the nail on the head! That's the best, and I feel only way that it could work and still feel right...

I've always thought Bruce and Clark are similar in age, maybe a year or two apart. Whats the actual difference in the comics?

I always put Clark in his early 30's, and Bruce in his early 40's. MAYBE Bruce is under 40, but I doubt it. Just look at the art in the current comics.

Bruce I think...is 32 or 33. And as for how he looks...well...look what he's BEEN through!

Bruce came back from traveling the world at age 26. It's been 10-12 years DCU time since then, so that'd put him at 36-38.

I always see Bruce as in his early thirties. Although most times the mainstream comics' art make him look like he's older, so I can understand how he could be in his late thirties/early forties. It's just....the younger he is the longer he'll be around! :p

And ya know, I want Smallville to stay on track and TRY to keep away from the "Superman's Creek" formula we hate so much, but I say, introduce the world of teen freak soap operas to Bruce Wayne's unbelievably deep and fascinating character! Make an episode devoted to a Bruce cameo!!! Those teeny boppers will be so amazed by our Bruce they won't know what hit em!!

Clark and Bruce can't be in their early 30's! Look at Bruce's business empire! And Clark has too distinguished of a career to be in his early thirties!

Bruce: 42
Clark: 39
