I've heard a rumor that a JL fighting game will be coming out for the Gamecube, X Box and PS2 featuring all 7 JL members, Aquaman and a few villians. Did anyone else hear about this?

Yep
I think I saw a Flash character model on some website ( 3D, too ), but I can't remember where, and there was no substantive info.

Urgh! Why can't they make these games for the PC too? I'm not into consoles, but I sure would like to play these games....ticks me off. ..........oh well........

That's great news! Will it be based after the animated series? I hope so. The characters could be:
The 7 members
Aquaman
Grodd
Vandal Savage
Joker
Star Sapphire
Copperhead
Shade
And Mongul could be the last boss.

Crap. Between this and Batman: Vengence, it looks like I'll have to buy a PS2.

You could get a gamecube if you want to save some money since Batman is on both and JL will probably be as well. I was fortunate enough to be able to afford both systems.

Absolutely not.
The ONLY final boss is, and will always be, Darkseid.
Besides, he has to be in there, to redeem his terrible showing in Justice League Task Force.

The reason I chose Mongul as the last boss is because Darkseid may not been until season 2 and this game may be out before they even get around to showing Darkseid. This ofcourse is just pure speculation. I prefer Mongul of Darkseid for some reason.

My character of choice for that game was the Flash. He could move so fast, Darkseid wouldn't even be able to get up and counter-attack. :D
Yeah, I'd agree, Darkseid should be the last villain. And I'd hope that they'd do something more diverse than just throwing you up against the Injustice Gang plus Darkseid at the end. They should throw in some other villains for bosses too.
I always liked those games where you got to choose which hero to be for each level.

Besides making a fighting game they should make multiplayer adventure game that could be similar to the 6 player X-men arcade game.

I'm better up for Mongul than Darkseid...

According to Wizard, it's the comics version of the JL.

Comics version? Man, I wanted the animated version. He could have been made by Ubi Soft who made the cool Batman Vengance game.

I'd much prefer to see a JL adventure game than a fighting game. I got my fill of superhero fighters with the Marvel vs. Capcom games, and think a superhero action/adventure game could be awesome on today's consoles/PCs (look at the newest Batman or Spidey games!). I'm really looking forward to Freedom Force and City of Heroes for that very reason. :)
But you know, I wouldn't mind seeing a good JL board game! Anyone else remember the old Super Powers game from the 80s? I thought that was the coolest thing around, with the little hero and villain miniatures, and the cardboard buildings you had to put together! :D

Yeah I remember that.

I'd also rather see an adventure game also. If a Marvel v Capcom type of game were made, it would be very imbalanced mainly because Batman has no powers, and to give him powers in the game to be even with the other fighters would be wrong. They should make an adventure game.

They would probably give Batman a few gadgets to use, less strength than the others, but more speed than probably anyone but Flash. Usually, they give very powerful characters the least amount of speed, and give the least powered ones the most speed. That kind of balances it out.
I'd rather see an adventure game too.

And you thought MvC was realistic to the characters?? They REALLY changed characters relative power. The kicker is, it wasn't even balanced, then.
I wouldn't mind a fighting game, and I'd expect it to be made balanced. That means either ANYBODY can beat ANYBODY, or that everybody has the same number of near-impossible/cinchy fights as everyone else.

I thought it was kind of neat to be able to defeat Onslaught with Captain America and Spider-Man! :D
