Well, the turn out for the contest was pretty tepid, and so was the voting. That doesn't detract from the fact that the results were pretty close. In fact, there was a tie for second.
But first place belongs entirely to Just Jack, for his Legolas avatar:

Second place was shared by naraht's Gondaft and Failure's Gollum. Joe Tully's rival Gollum avatar, fittingly, was very close behind in fourth.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to copy the 2nd and 3rd place winner's avatars. If Failure and naharat will send me (jaallman@yahoo.com) copies, I'll add them into this thread.
Once again, everyone got at least a few votes, even the ineligible mod running the contest. :bosko:
