Hello again. I'm back from my finished Don't Look into the Mirror fic with my next long-term writing project of WF. So this is where I am, just like you asked, WM! Thank you for reading The Edaludek Situation; without further ado I present my installment of the ever-short prologue.
----------------------
Prologue
Kerryl Shighner, Age 16
They told my friends at school that it was a gliding accident.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
I never told them anything about gliding. They called me insane for trying it. I called myself stupid for doing It in the first place.
Beep. Beeep. Beep.
It was the bomb. I was actually gliding, but I didn't get out fast enough. I crashed into one of the locked facilities. Why did I do it? Even I don't know that.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Then it was it. I couldn't breathe right. My ribs were broken. My jaw was broken, my tongue smashed. I couldn't talk. Both my arms were useless. I could barely see. My skull was damaged, my head bleeding. They say that it's a miracle I'm not dead. I lay there for a whole, long dragging day until someone found me. They thought I already died.
But for some reason, a reason I didn't know myself, my body refused to die.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
But my time can't be for long. My family don't know about Them, or about It. No one does. And I can't tell them now anyway, either. My family can't afford to pay for the injuries. They're basically fixing my whole upper body. No, they're going to have to pull the plug on me...I just can't hold on...I can't breathe anymore...
Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

First off, your title on the forum page is kind of funny. You ended it with TT fanfic. We all know this is a fanfic otherwise it wouldn't be on the board. anyway, the prologue was strange. good though.

Well, I put TT fanfic just in case. Unfortunately, the Titans did not make an appearance in the Prologue. Because of that, I was afraid a mod might move it to the Story Board or something.

i wonder who's hurt.
It says so at the beginning of the Prologue.

Great start! Is this going to be another Raven-based fic? I sure hope so! I too was confused by the beeps until I read the final, unending beeee... of a heart that stops beating.
I hope you continue this!:)

Okay, I have Chapter one ready now!!! :D :D
--------------------------
Chapter 1
"She's not dead. I pulled it off. Doesn't need it anymore."
"Yes. It's strange isn't it? All of a sudden, there was an anonymous benefactor. But they still said that it might not work. Metal skull, metal arms. There's a plate of metal across her back for her bent backbone. Reinforcements on the jaw to straighten it, and some work on the tongue as well. She'll never talk normally again. Ribs fixed, lungs had to be replaced, and they're not real lungs either. I have no idea where they get this kind of artificial technology. And they also had me implant a die in her heart. See those things on her temples?"
"Yes, of course."
"Her eyesight was also damaged by the huge explosion. So those are to help her see better."
"So basically she's a walking miracle and a walking science experiment."
"Tigyn," said a voice in her head, interrupting her recollection of memories from the two doctors' conversation.
"Yup. Hey, look, her eyes are opening."
"Now there she is. See her, getting closer to me and she doesn't even know it." It was that same cold voice. She really did open her eyes and looked around. It was dark there, and cold. She could hear mechanics chinking around her. She sat up.
"Sir?" the servant offered Slade a cup of tea.
"Save it." he waved the cup aside and leaned forward to observe the video screen closer. He was deep into thought, and when he was deep in thought he didn't like to be disturbed. "Hello, Tigyn. I'm glad you woke up."
What he was looking at was a scene in downtown Jump City. The target: a simple young girl walking down the sidewalk like everyone else, seemingly minding her own business and stopping, in a cafe, to buy a cup of coffee. She had glistening brown hair and very observant dark eyes. It was her eyes that captivated Slade at first. But the scene was transparent. Behind the scene was a scene of the girl in a bed.
"I'm not Tigyn. My name's Kerryl," she said. Her jaw and her tongue hurt when she talked, and she cranked her mouth closed.
"On the contrary, Kerryl Shighner is dead. If you look at the hospital records, you will see that," said Slade. "You are Tigyn. I am Slade. And I need you to do something for me. Trust me, you have no where else to go, and when you do finish I'll help you take your vengeance on Them."
Slade could tell she was one of those kinds of people. Her eyes told of a past that was distraughtful, and told of someone who was strong...her eyes were narrowed by forgotten fears and dislike of the busy people around her...her eyes were observant, trying to see if there was a way out.
"Aha...and there she goes..." Slade said, and on cue, she leapt up and smashed the video with her new metal fist. Slade chuckled. The screen may have broke, but the microphones and speakers were still there. His servant left the room respectfully. Slade rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "You are my Titanium Dragon now, Tigyn. I want you to help me. And you will."
"Like I said. You have nowhere else to go now. Kerryl Shighner is dead. You're dead."
******
Robin slammed his fists, left-left-jab, left-left-jab at the rocking punching bag. It was still early; he didn't really need to head out to the kitchen yet. Actually he was a little reluctant after yesterday's breakfast experience. It was Beast Boy, of course, and things had completely gone out of hand. It ended with tofu all over the kitchen from the exploded, well, whatever it was that BB was making.
The worst part, he gathered it up anyway and stuck it in their refrigerator. Not to mention the fact that, this morning, he wanted to actually pull it out and share it with everyone else.
"Robin?" It was Starfire, her voice echoing down the long stretch of hallway. "Good morning Robin!" And there she flew in. She watched Robin for a moment, who didn't pause from his punching excersize. "Would you prefer that I assist you in holding the sand container still?"
"It's called a punching bag, Star, and sure," Robin said. He said it really fast, and got into his workout breathing pattern again. Breathing was an important part of the excersize, it helped exert the right amount of force at the right time.
Starfire flew over and took a firm hold of the 'sand container'. "Robin, I have been meaning to tell you.."
"That you're here to avoid having BB cram the crud down his throat?" said Robin.
"Actually, Robin..."
But just then, they were caught off by the sound of alarms. When Robin's communicator began to beep and Starfire's gemstones began to blink, there was no doubt. Raven snapped out of her meditation and BB ditched his cooking attempt. Cyborg got the T-Car.
Robin raced to his motorcycle. "Titans, go!"
---
It was a scene of a bank robbery, and it looked like the works of a typical crook. The titans were on it in a second, and the police made way for the titans to come in.
"One of the guys have a gun in there. He's keeping all the tellers and everyone hostage!"
"No problem," Raven said. She went in, followed by the rest of the team. Raven knew what she was doing. It took the idiot crook by surprise when Raven surrounded the weapon with her magic and wrenched it out of his hands.
"Hey!" the guy said stupidly.
"Hey, you!" Cyborg yelled, blasting in. "Get ya'll hands up in the air, man! You're game's over!"
"There's someone else in there," Raven pointed at the safe, the really big one in which the gold and jewelery was kept.
"I'll bet he's sneaking to the other side...like behind the counter...thinks he can get away without us catching him..." Robin grinned at Starfire, who flew up. It wasn't very difficult; the second man was unarmed, too greedy for the gold that he left his gun somewhere so that he could load his heavy bag with both hands.
"Get up, and keep your hands in the air," said Robin. "We can see you. No point in trying to run."
But the guy was stubborn. He dropped the bag and made a run for it, which was stupid anyway. For all he knew he could run out straight into a field of gunfire outside, because all the police really were out there with their cars lined up as a barrier defensive style.
"Stop it!" Raven growled, and strode over there, enveloping the man in a sphere of energy.
But in that split second, she faltered. As she had walked past, a vision had sprung up in her mind. It was muddled, and hard to recollect. There were flashes of images, and noises in the background...a familiar voice screaming...
"Raven!" Robin launched himself over and knocked Raven flat. THe man had pulled out a hidden gun. He was aiming for Raven. Robin needn't have bothered. Cyborg nailed him before he could flinch. "Raven, you okay?" he called over. The police had come in and handcuffed the two men.
"I'm fine," Raven muttered. She just lost her concentration, that's all. But she would have to meditate before recalling all of that vision. Before that, it was better not to tell the others. It would make her seem so much of a worrier.
However, Robin was not fooled. He thought that it was a bad time to ask, though, and pulled her up on her feet. "Let's head back to the tower," Robin said. She nodded. The other three already headed out.
But before she left she took a look around. Someone in the room had given her a frightful vision. When she couldn't see anyone out of the ordinary or strange, she followed Robin until she caught it in the corner of her eye: a pair of sharp, narrowed, hateful dark eyes.
~~Later that night~~
Cyborg was watching the news. He didn't do so very often, but he felt like something was wrong. He was right. There was a presentation on how the Titans had saved the day at the bank. But there was more.
"When they left, it seems that there was another hidden robber at the site. Police could not identify the thief. However, it was described to the people that it was some sort of flying human with huge metal wings. Police are confirming the story. However, our Mayor is skeptical.
"Apparently nothing was stolen except for one thing. But it's hardly worth anything. The winged thief only took a book. The owner of the book chooses to remain anonymous. However, there has been rumors going around about this book before. Experts say..."
"What are you watching?" Raven suddenly asked from behind Cyborg. Cyborg jumped.
"Oh, just a bit of news," said Cy casually, turning off the TV. "Night Raven." He left the room in a hurry. But Raven had watched silently. She thought the book on the news looked vaguely familiar. Oh well. Maybe something she checked out from the library; she read a lot of books.
She left the room, and switched off the light. But all through the night, she kept seeing the same thing over. Her unclear visions, those eyes, and now, that book.

Well, this seems interesting. It's not often that we got fics looking at the villains - well, I'm assuming that's what Kerryl/Tigyn will turn out to be - and K/T already strikes me as a very interesting character anyway. I wonder who They are, and what's the deal with the book? I'm sure we shall find out soon enough...;)

Ooh, missed the post. Sorry! Chapter 2 is finally here. You learn what Edaludek means in this chapter.
--------------------------
Chapter 2
Cyborg told Robin what really happened the day before at the bank.
"What?!" Robin said, smashing his hand onto the table. "Something was taken! And right under our noses!"
"Calm down, man," said Cyborg. "We couldn't have known about it. It was some sort of flying person hauling out. It was only a book that was taken. Owner is anonymous."
"Do we know who's behind it?"
"Not yet," said Raven. But she didn't say anything about the girl at the bank. Last night she had meditated on the flashing vision, but they couldn't be made out. She was, however, sure that it concerned the future.
"What's the name of the book, and the author?" asked Robin, thinking.
"The author's name is anonymous too," said Cyborg. "And the title is Edaludek. It's in some kinda weird language."
Robin sighed. "Great. Just great."
"Robin, it is all right," said Starfire. "We will solve the problem soon! It will only be a matter of time." BB nodded. Robin tried to smile at her, but to no avail. The only time he had ever been stumped like this was during the times of Slade...
"Slade," Robin mumbled.
"Whatchoo say?" said Cyborg.
"Slade," he said a little louder. "This sounds exactly like what he would do. You know what? Do we have the security cameras from the break-in? We can use it, and zoom in on this winged person. I want to know as much as we can about him."
"It's a her," said Raven, before she could stop herself. The others looked at her. "I saw her. She was looking at me, and I er...well, I didn't know what she was going to do, but I saw her."
"That's good," said Cy, "because the cameras were all cut at that moment. But we can check the camera at the time before the break-in, and Raven can point her out to us. He backtracked on the camera and zoomed in on the scene.
"There." Raven pointed to a skinny figure standing in line. He zoomed in on the girl.
"Scanning. Let's see if we have any records..." he said. "She has no criminal records. Let's try all the hospitals of Jump City instead." They waited with bated breath. The computer beeped as it searched all the databases city-wide. Suddenly, there was an image match. "Got it! She's Kerryl Shighner. Born July 31, 1989...16 years old, and..."
"And what?" everyone else said at the same time.
"She's dead," said Cyborg, turning off the screen to face his teammates.
-----------------------
Tigyn flew high above the cold clouds, her teeth chattering and her clothes soaked through, before flying down to the factory that was Slade's new hideout. In one of her mechanical hands was the book, pages miraculously undamaged. She landed on the roof, and made her way down by the elevator.
She cranked her heavy jaw open. "I'm back," she said grumpily, slamming the book onto the desk in front of Slade.
"I would appreciate it if you treated the book with a little more respect," said Slade. "It is a very important documentation."
"Why do you need it?" asked Tigyn.
"Did you know Edaludek means 'to obtain' in a dialect called Xaiten?" said Slade. "It's a demon book, rumored to contain powers beyond dreams. There are five copies of the book in the world. The Titans have one copy, and now we do too. But in order to do anything with the book, we need to have all five. I have the other three pinned down already; I need you to get them."
"The first stop: the city library."
---------------------
So of course, the alarm rang at Titans tower alerting them about the theft in the library.
"Why would anyone rob a library for a book?" asked Starfire. "Is it not able to give them for borrowing?"
"This is a little different," said Robin. "The city library is basically Jump City's Library of Congress. It's got books in there, but it's limited, not for just anyone. And I bet there was a copy of that Eda-whatever book in there, and that flying girl will be there too."
"That's nice," said Cyborg, "because there she goes!"
Right above them, Tigyn was flying away with the book in her hand. Raven, Starfire, and BB dived in for her right away. Tigyn saw them coming. She swerved to the side, and attacked. Claws came out of her mechanical hands and she swiped at BB, who fell with green feathers flying everywhere.
Starfire fired bolts, but they glanced off of Tigyn's metal back. "Nice try," Tigyn snarled, throwing a razor wheel at Starfire, who had to dive to the side as to not get cut.
"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" said Raven, dark energy wrapping around the book, but Tigyn, who was warned about the Titans by Slade, was expecting it. She let go of the book and launched in, swiping at Raven instead. Raven, pulling up a shield around herself, dropped the book.
"Got it!" Robin yelled, diving and catching it as it fell to the ground. Tigyn swooped down for it and Robin threw it over to Cyborg, but Tigyn released her extendable arm. It hit the book to the ground. Robin saw his mistake and dived in for the book.Tigyn saw and charged at him, but Cyborg blasted her. She was shot toward a large stone imitation of the planet and her hard wings hit the stone Earth's stand. It teetered.
"Robin!" Starfire yelled. Robin grabbed the book and looked up, to see that huge thing blocking out the sun coming down for him.

"Robin!" Starfire yelled.
Robin...
The next thing that happened in this series of events was very clear: Everyone known that they had messed up, that they had failed the mission, but then again they had not failed or failed Robin in any way. Starfire dove in underneath the globe and it fell on top of her; Raven chanted her spell and dark energy surrounded the stone grave; BB transformed into a gorilla and dove in, protecting Robin too. It was inches from him. Cyborg also lended his strength.
But this was why they failed. They were all so intent on saving Robin's life, and left Tigyn free to fly. She dove in and a laser gun came out of her wrist. She blasted the globe with it and it exploded; Titans were flung in all directions, and the book, only scorched, was flung underneath a parked car. Tigyn easily swooped in and pushed the car into the middle of the street and she picked up the book.
"FREEZE!" cried Starfire, flying after Tigyn. She smirked at the injured heroes and flew off. Raven shook herself off and followed. BB grumbled as he was left there and Robin got up, looking after his comrades. Cy wasn't exactly feeling very nifty either.
"Catch me if you can, losers," said Tigyn, the andrenaline flowing through her. She could feel the rush of stealing and doing these things without limits, without rules or laws. She wasn't afraid of breaking the law. She was dead to the world. She was not alive. She blew up a car with her laser and as hte smoke got in Star and Raven's eyes, she dove into the crowd below and folded her wings, blending in easily after she shoved on a cap and some sunglasses. Even if she was spotted, the Titans wouldn't try anything with so many civilians around.
Star coughed and blew away the smoke. Raven was already fine. "She's gone, and with the book," Raven said, worriedly. She remembered the smoke from somewhere...yes, this scene was in her premonition! It was this Tigyn person then. He premonitions were soon to become reality.
"We must tell Robin," said Starfire worriedly. "And we must see if Cyborg and Beast Boy are not injured."
Raven nodded, and together they flew towards the tower as fire sirens below wailed to the scene of the blown-up car.
***********
Tigyn gave the book to Slade. He was pleased.
"Honestly, I would have said that I had found the perfect apprentice," said Slade, "If that was what I was looking for at least. But that is not the case."
"So am I done? Can I leave this pathetic place?" muttered Tigyn. After all the excitement, she was beginning to feel ashamed of the free feeling she had when she was breaking those laws.
To her surprise, Slade stood up and slapped her straight across the face, hard. Her head snapped to one side, and a dribble of blood trickled down the corner of her mouth. "Don't talk like that to me, ever," said Slade. "And no, you are not done. There are three more books out there before I am finished. You owe me your life. Don't think so lightly of it."
Tigyn cranked her heavy jaw open, about to retort back, but instead she wiped the blood off with a finger. "Yes, sir." Her voice still hinted a bit of a sneer in it, but Slade either didn't hear it or simply ignored it.
"The next stop is at the space station, I'm afraid," said Slade.
"What, a bunch of astronauts want to read up on alien languages?" said Tigyn.
"Actually, no, the book is not at the space station. Rather, it is on a planet named Tamaran. You are headed there, and you will be taking that book from the Tamaranian library." Tigyn stared at him.
"You can't possibly believe..."
"Oh yes, I do," said Slade. "And you will to. Now, you have a job to do. Off with you. Come on now, don't you want to see this civilization? It's most advanced, I'm sure you'll like it." He walked away, leaving her staring at him in disbelief.
"I'll send you your instructions once you have borrowed a spacecraft," said Slade.
***************
When they got to the tower it was obvious that they were okay. Raven rolled her eyes, but healed their bruises anyway. They were playing video games.
"WHO's the BOMB!?" said Cyborg. "YEEAAOOOOOWWWWW!!" He boosted to the finish line, beating BB by a hair.
"Dude that is so not fair! I got the controller with the broken joystick, see?" said BB, showing it to him.
"Yeah, but you were playing with eighteen fingers," Cyborg looked pointedly at BB's hands, which had nine fingers each of tentacle similarity. BB shoved his hands under the sofa cushions.
"Who said?"
"I said!"
"But I got the dumb controller..." Raven rolled her eyes again and retreated to her room.
She had gotten a closer look at the book this time, and she was now certain; she had a copy of the book right there on her shelf. She walked over to the wall and looked through the dusty volumes until her finger brushed by one that was glinting of gold on the spine.
"Hm, Edaludek Gretoi. The Obtaining Book," said Raven, pulling it out. The letters shone in the dim lighting of her room.
Then Robin opened the door, and she jumped. She shoved the book behind her cloak and turned around. "Ahem," she said. Robin raised an eyebrow. "Uh, need anything Robin?"
"Um yeah actually," said Robin. He looked around at her room. "Well, it's about the book. I know you read a lot of books, and I was wondering..."
"No," she lied. Why was she hiding it from him? "Never heard of it."
"Oh," said Robin, looking slightly crestfallen. "Then we'll just have to keep looking. Sorry for bothering you."
"No prob," said Raven. "Wasn't doing much." Robin left the room. Raven inched to the door and shut it. She hesitated, then locked it too. Then she pulled out Edaludek Gretoi. She opened the book and began to read.
It was all in another language, but to Raven's surprise, she could read it all. She could understand it as easily as if it was water flowing through her fingers. That didn't make this easier after she read it. She gasped in horror and ran out the room.
Star was now cooking, and Cy and BB were in a heated argument. Robin was sitting in front of the stereo and having it blare loudly in his face. The room seemed to freeze when Raven ran in.
"Slade's trying to take over the universe!" Raven yelled.
"What?" said Robin. "How do you know?"
"I know," she said grimly, just as the alarm rang, signalling another break-in.

Chapter 4
"Those crummy, pathetic, stupid little humans," Blackfire cursed as she flew through space. "What place does my dear little sister have to kick me out of Tamaran? I was queen! I had the gem in my grasp! How did someone like her manage to defeat me in combat?"
But a space shuttle that just flew by interrupted her string of curses. "Dumb humans," Blackfire muttered again, recognizing the Earth's technology. "What business do land-bound creatures as they to fly around the universe, making themselve all high and mighty against the other more superior races." She was about to turn away when she realized something.
"Why is that space shuttle headed for Tamaran?" she muttered under her breath, her knowledge of the map of space in her head. Tamaran was the only planet that could possibly be the target of Earth if they were headed in that direction; in fact, that spacecraft was making a beeline for the planet.
Inside the shuttle was, of course, Tigyn. With Slade muttering endlessly in her ear, she navigated the shuttle all on her own.
"So far, no disturbances," said Tigyn, seemingly to herself, but she was talking into the microphone on her shoulder.
"Don't make assumptions too soon," Slade replied, and right when he finished his sentence the shuttle rocked. Tigyn jumped.
"What was that?" Slade said. "Go check it out, and set the system for autopilot."
"Okay," said Tigyn, and she switched the switch and put on the space helmet. Then she made her way to the excavating exit. She shut the double doors behind her and opened the door out to space.
She pushed off, making sure a string kept her attached to the shuttle, when a bright like came flying at her and hit her round the middle. "Starbolt," her mechanical systems analyzed. The Titans were here already?!
Zing-zing-zing! Tigyn was ready this time and boosted to the side, the starbolts denting the frame of the shuttle. No, those starbolts were purple. It was a Tamaranian, yes, but it definitely wasn't Starfire. Tigyn looked up and saw the Tamaranian flying towards her. "Wait!" Tigyn said, but the Tamaranian fired eyebeams.
"What are you doing, heading in that direction? Explain yourself! Are you with those dreaded Titans?!" Blackfire hissed.
"I should ask YOU that question!" Tigyn shot back, and she swiped at Blackfire with her claws, which just sprouted out. The space suit was made specially for her wings and her claws.
Blackfire stopped attacking. "You mean you aren't? Why are you headed to Tamaran then, human?"
"You aren't either, I suppose. It's business for Slade, so stay away."
"Slade...I've heard of him before." Suddenly something lit up in Blackfire's eyes. "Maybe..."
Tigyn raised an eyebrow. "What are you suggesting..."
******
"They took shuttle number three," said the astronaut. "There were a huge number of robots and this robotic flying girl person, they just suddenly came here and broke through!"
"Can we check the shuttle's coordinates from here?" Robin demanded.
"I think so. Go to command center," said the astronaut, when Raven came back. She was just there.
"They're got that shuttle locked on," said Raven. "It's headed in the third sector. Have any idea where that could be?" Starfire hesitated.
"I believe that our enemy is headed for Tamaran," said Starfire. "It it the only planet in that sector worth going to, in my opinion, anyway."
"What are we waiting for then, let's go!" said Cyborg.
A moment later, they were off at full speed in the T-ship. "This baby goes faster than any space shuttle," said Cyborg, very pleased. "We should get there in no time."
They cruised along the familiar darkness, remembering the last time they had gone to Tamaran, which had been a most strange experience. The Titans, with the exception of Star, didn't look forward to staying there for very long, lest they had to eat some of that horrific food again. However, every single one of them remembered Blackfire.
"Do you think she'll linger there even after all that?" said BB.
"Yes, she will seek to take revenge on us all," said Starfire sadly. "Oh sister, why did you ever have to do those terrible, terrible things?"
"I can't believe we even took her in once," said Raven indifferently.
"Titans," Robin said suddenly, breaking into their thoughts. "Something's headed our way. Cyborg, analyze it."
"It's an emergency shuttle," said Cyborg after a length of time. "It's from shuttle three! What the heck? Why's it coming back towards us?"
"Look, it's ejected someone," said Raven, peering closer. Something was glimmering like a star in the person's hand.
"That is not our villain," said Starfire, gasping. "That is Blackfire!" Blackfire attacked the T-ship.
"Titans, separate!" Robin yelled, and they did so, each becoming one small ship onto its own. "Avoid her. I repeat, avoid her. We do not want a confrontation at this point."
"Are you sure?" said Raven. "She came from shuttle three. From all we know she's also working with that girl, Kerryl Shighner."
"We still can't risk a fight right now. That may jeopardize us, since we're not close to any planets right now. We need to get closer to Tamaran first. I'm pretty sure that she's here to slow us down, so do not, I repeat, do not fall for it. We'll split up and take different routes to Tamaran."
Blackfire flung a starbolt at Robin and his little ship shook.
"Robin!" Starfire cried.
"I'm fine...minimal damages," said Robin. "Titans, go!" The five ships flew off in different directions, each hoping that in time, they will see each other again.

It was awesome when Tigyn and Blackfire began to fight. Of course their quick alliance makes it look like Slade has someone new on his team against the Titans. Also, I liked the little bit where Starfire talked about how Tamaran was the only planet worth going to in that quadrant was funny. She really has pride in her planet, doesn't she? Well, Slade's puppet master type ways are in full force in this story. I like Slade. Anyway, I can't wait for the next chapter!

Thanks, I'll have the next chapter up really soon! I won't be around this weekend though...maybe Monday or Tuesday.
Of course! Starfire LOVES Tamaran!
Okay, this is the first time i've posted on this thread and all i have to say is.....
I like your idea! It's unique and you've got an interesting character in Tigyn, and the plot is cool aswell

I have to agree with everyone, blackfire's entry was an unexpected yet pleasant introduction into the story. One can only wonder what she can add to the team, or perhaps, what her motivation in helping Slade can be?
A question about Tigyn Reket, she looks like a human girl right? except with steel wings and claws? Or is her face and jaw also metal? i didn't quite get that.

She's got her normal jaw, but she's got a brace on the inside because it was shattered. So it makes it hard to move her jaw around...but it's still her bone. She also has a metal attachment to the side of her head that stretches over her eyebrow.

Chapter 5
Starfire pressed her face to the glass of the cockpit as Robin's ship flew out of range of communication. She wanted so badly to go after him, and yell, "No!" for splitting up, staying with him, but all of a sudden Blackfire rammed into her and snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Sister!" Starfire gasped. Blackfire smirked, her forehead pressed onto the cockpit and her knuckles rapping on the glass. "What..."
"I said, LET ME IN!" Blackfire yelled, rapping harder. Starfire was afraid she was gonig to break the glass; at the rate she was knocking, she would. But all she could do was gape at her. What?! She thought. She's not attacking me!?
"Fine, have it your way," said Blackfire, and she slammed her fist through the cockpit, glass shattering into Starfire's face. Luckily, she was wearing a space suit. Not that she needed it, because she could breathe in space, but she had it on anyway. Blackfire jumped inside. "Some crowded ship. No place for the queen."
"I am not queen, sister, and neither are you," said Starfire coldly. "Galfore is the king. What do you want, sister? Why are you not attacking us?"
"My own best interest, dear sister," said Blackfire, looking at her nails. "You see, on my flight around space, I happened to bump into a shuttle. And do you know who was in there?"
"A girl?"
"Exactly. She's working for Slade, and she's headed for Tamaran to raid our books. She's looking for one in particular."
"Slade?" Starfire gasped. "Why would he want all these foreign books?"
"you should catch up on your lore, sister, you really should," sneered Blackfire. "The book, Edaludek Gretoi, was written in Tamaran's ancient times and Earth's birth. There are five copies of it and once they are gathered together the owner can rule the universe. That's the tale. The ruler himself becomes...inhuman. Superpowered, more than any of you superheroes or the supervillains can even imagine."
"So we know where three are," Starfire muttered. "Two have already been stolen, and one is on Tamaran."
"Nope. You Titans know where four are," said Blackfire. "But anyway, that's not the point. I want to make an alliance with your team, sister. We may have had our...disagreements...in the past, but world domination is not something I look forward to from a weak Earthling."
"Why did you attack us then earlier?" Starfire demanded.
"Because if I didn't I would assume you would have shot me down on the spot. At least, that was what I would have done if it was me in the ship," said Blackfire. Starfire shuddered.
"Now listen up. I know where the book is. Tamaran's a big place you know, you'd take forever looking for it, unless..."
------------------------------
Raven was preoccupied with her copy of the book. Her ship set on autopilot for Tamaran, she had pulled out Edaludek Gretoi and began to flip through the pages. Almost three-fourths of the book was empty, to her puzzlement. Here and there were pages filled to the borders with words, while others were spotless.
"This makes no sense," she muttered. "I understand it all, even though I've never seen the words in my life! Is this...could it be because I was the offspring of a demon? Curse that idiot," she added.
But one sentence kept on appearing, kept on repeating itself over and over:
The dragon shows the way, the dragon shows the way, the dragon shows the way...

Haha, so which side is Blackfire on? What's up with the book? What's happened to everyone else? A short chapter, I know, but I'll update this as soon as I can.

I think that Blackfire is setting Star up. . .maybe. Perhaps a redemption of sorts? It's possible. Anyway, I like when Blackfire was talking about how powerful the person who holds the book is. Super heroes and villains would have a tough time fighting that person? Massive team up, perhaps. Anyway, I'm into writing short reviews, so I'll simply say; Tigyn rules. Robots are just. . .awesome. Thanks. :) Too bad Tigyn wasn't in this chapter. But that was a really short, crummy chapter. I think I'll add onto Chapter 5, more about what happened with Tigyn and the other Titans.-------------------------------------
(more of) Chapter 5
Tigyn steadied the shuttle. She recalled what had happened between her and the dark Tamaranian before, when she had attacked.
"Slade...I've heard of him before." Suddenly something lit up in Blackfire's eyes. "Maybe..."
Tigyn raised an eyebrow. "What are you suggesting..."
"Understand, human, that Tamaran is my home planet," said Blackfire. "What is a man like Slade, known as the Deathstroke, want with a place like that? And no, this is not pure curiosity. I may have an offer, depending on the circumstances."
Tigyn whispered to Slade. "Should I tell her?"
"You can tell her a small part," replied Slade, who was watching interestedly back on Earth.
"What is your name?" asked Tigyn.
"I'm not obliged to answer that to someone who hasn't introduced themselves to me in return," said Blackfire, to Tigyn's irritation.
"Look, Tamaranian TROQ, do you want your head sheared off or do you want to answer me?" Tigyn snarled.
"Do YOU want me to blast you into the death of suffocation in eternal space?" Blackfire shot back. She grinned wickedly. "Don't worry, I heard that it was slow and painfully cold. how inconvenient for humans to be in space without those dumb suits, isn't it."
Tigyn opened her mouth to say something back, but instead, she gulped it down and scowled. "Tigyn."
"Good, that's better. I'm Blackfire," she said.
"We're going there to look for a book. It's called Edaludek Gretoi." Tigyn searched her face for any sign of recognition. There were none. Blackfire merely raised an eyebrow.
"A book?" she snorted. "Sorry, not much of a reader myself. But considering it's Slade, the Titans must be after you. I can help you there."
And that was what happened. The next thing Blackfire had left, flying backward to stop the Titans. Tigyn was still grumpy that Slade was actually trusting that person. Those eyes were full of mischief and malevolence...not exactly the type to put confidence into.
"Tamaran in sight," said Tigyn. "How am I supposed to find the book on the planet?"
"Look in the shuttle's storage room," said Slade evilly. Tigyn, wondering what it could be, pushed (for there was no gravity) herself to the back of the shuttle to take a look inside. There was a metallic smell when she opened the compartment, and she reached down and scooped up a handful of some sort of dust. The dust floated off her hand without gravity.
"What is this?" asked Tigyn.
"Chronium dust."
------------------
"There it is," said Robin, seeing the planet in front of him. His ship was going at maximum speed already. He was hoping, in his heart, that the others were okay. If they weren't, it would be all his fault. He was the one who gave the order to split up.
Then, a little way ahead of him, he spotted a shuttle. Suspicious and pretty certain, he needed to take a closer look. "Zoom in," he told the computer, and the screen zoomed in on the shuttle. Yes, there it was, a black number three on the back.
"Spotted the shuttle!" Robin said into the communicator, and then he remembered that none of the Titans were in range to be spoken to. He sighed. He hadn't been so lonely in a long, long time.
-----------------
Cyborg couldn't believe his luck. "Why you?!" he muttered, his little ship and BB's little ship hooked onto each others. BB, who was so horrible at flying the thing, had crashed into Cyborg a mere five minutes after they had "separated" and now the two large boosters had hooked onto each other.
"Dude, it's not my fault! The wheel broke off!" said BB.
"WHAT!? You broke the WHEEL?" roared Cy. "Oh, man! Oh, MAN!"
"Watch out!" Cyborg almost crashed into a stray asteroid. Now he was steering both BB and himself, one wheel with one booster on two parts of the ship. Things were moving rather slowly.
"We gotta make an emergency landing," said Cy, pointing on a nearby planet. "We can't keep going like this!"
"Oh come on, dude, it isn't that baaaaa!!!!" Cyborg had gone a full 360 spin to avoid another asteroid. "Okay, it is that bad."
That was why Cyborg and Beast Boy made an emergency landing. They never caught up to the others.
--------------------
"I'm leaving this to you, little sister, while I go with the other part of our plan," said Blackfire.
"You mean, your plan," said Starfire. "How can I trust you, sister? After all you have done? After all of that betrayal, did you think that we would all of a sudden become friends again like this?"
"I see you aren't as naive as you were before," said Blackfire dryly. "Good. Well, you've got no choice. You won't beat Slade to the book just by plainly looking for it."
Then she flew off into the darkness of the stars, leaving her sister to continue on her way through space.
Cool! I'm not sure what to make of Blackfire though....

I'm guessing that Slade, Tigyn and Blackfire are all up to more than they appear to be -which is a lot - but as of now I've got preciselt noo idea what they're doing...besides what you said. Of course, it does. I wouldn't have done it if it didn't. ;) ;) ;)
The dust is basically a...blackmail, i guess? Threatening the Tamaranians with it. I don't think they all want to explode the planet with bursts of sneezes or break out completely.

Okay...finally, FINALLY I had time to finish up Chapter 6. It's been so, sooo long! Like a whole week and a half's worth of time. Wow, I need to start get moving instead of reading too much other stuff, hehe. And the RPs, and the...coming of the school year. Nooo!!! I'm blabbing again. I haven't been talking in like forever.
----------------------
Chapter 6
"And there it is," Tigyn muttered, staring at the planet. She was driving again. After a look at the dust, she knew what she had to do. The shuttle was entering the atmosphere.
"Request for landing," she said into the speaker. "Earth shuttle requesting a landing on the southern gate."
Meanwhile, Galfore was looking through slitted eyes at the spacecraft. "An Earth shuttle?" he muttered. "Is it Koriand'r? Or even Komand'r for that matter?"
"No sir," said a Tamaranian guard. "It is not any Tamaranian that we know of. We have detected only one life-form aboard, that is not even fully human. However, there are traces of Pri-I mean, Komand'r's prints aboard the ship, as well as traces of..." He whispered something in Galfore's ear.
"WHAT!?" he roared when he heard. "Chronium?" He jumped out of his chair. "Do not let that ship land! We must not. We do not know what that half-human wants, so we..."
Just then, another Tamaranian guard burst in. "Sir, an Earth ship has requested landing on the northern gate. It seems to be a human boy in a cape, sir."
"Robin," said Galfore immediately, realizing it. "Allow him to land." The guard backed out of the room, when one more came in.
"Sir, Princess Koriand'r has arrived and has requested meeting with you right away," said the guard. "She is also at the northern gate in a damaged ship."
"Yes. Tell her I will be there as fast as I can," said Galfore.
-----------------------
Starfire clumsily landed the ship and got out. The first thing that happened was when she did, a whole legion of Tamaranians greeted her on their knees.
"Oh please, I am no longer a princess," she told them.
"You will always remain a princess here as long as we live," they replied, and one of them ran off to tell Galfore.
The second thing that happened was Robin running over to her and both of them hugging each other as tightly as possible, although it was a short-lived hug because she was suffocating Robin.
"Star! I'm so glad you're okay! I thought I saw Blackfire go after your ship," Robin gasped.
"She did, but she had something interesting to tell me," Starfire said, and she was in the middle of this when the third important thing happened; Raven crash-landed on a cliff nearby. At first they weren't sure that it was Raven's ship. It could have easily been Beast Boy's or Cyborg's. But a blast of black energy blasted through the cockpit a a blue-hooded figure was trying to wriggle out of the tiny hole.
"Raven!" Starfire gasped. Sensing her worry, a dozen Tamaranians dispatched and went over to the cliff to help her out of the burning ship.
"I'm fine," Raven said when they got there. "Here, there's something in there I have to get, it's a book..." One of the guards understood and reached in, pulling out a smoking copy of Edaludek Gretoi.
"Is this it?" he asked, handing it to her. She nodded, accepting it. It was still hot. Then she caught up with Starfire and Robin.
"What happened?" Robin asked.
"A spell gone astray," Raven answered, hiding the book.
*flashback*
Raven was flipping through a lot of the empty pages when she arrived at one page with some sort of spell on it, one that she could understand very easily; it was a speed-up spell. Needless to say, she tried it.
"AHHH!" Suddenly, the ship jerked forward, bursting around space and crashing into miscellaneous space junk like rock and damaging to so much that by the time she reached Tamaran, she couldn't slow down and by the time she saw the cliff she couldn't avoid it.
So she held up the book, and the ship suddenly slowed down...but not by enough.
*end flashback*
"So there," Raven said, telling them about her spell, but she didn't tell them where the spell came from or how she managed to slow down the ship enough for her to live.
And finally, Galfore came. "Quickly, we have not much time," he said.
"Beast Boy and Cyborg haven't gotten here yet," Raven said monotonously.
"They will be sent to us if they arrive," said Galfore. Everyone noticed that he did not say 'when', but 'if'. The trio followed Galfore to a private room.
"First of all, are all of you alright?" he asked hospitably. Everyone nodded. "Okay then. An Earth shuttle is requesting a landing on the southern gate. We have reasons to suspect it, but because Earth and Tamaran do not coop very much, I must ask you three, who live there...what is going on?"
So they told him.
"A book? All this for a book?" he said, shaking his head.
"Not just any book. It's a book called Edaludek Gretoi," said Raven, throwing caution into the wind, even if there were no winds on Tamaran. "There are only a few in the universe, and if you get your hands on all of them there's supposedly the power to take over the universe."
For a moment, Galfore was quiet. "I have not heard of such a thing."
"Please, you have got to believe us!" Starfire wailed. "Slade...the one who is doing this...already has at least two or three copies of the book. For all we know, he may already have all but this one!"
"He doesn't," Raven, muttered.
"What was that?" Robin asked.
"Oh! Uh, nothing."
"I believe you," said Glafore. "But I do not know where the book is."
"I do. My sister confronted me in space," said Starfire. "Will you allow us free passage around Tamaran?"
"But of course."
"Then come on," said Robin, and the three of them left together.
Meanwhile, Tigyn was getting annoyed because they hadn't let her land. Darn, the Titans must have beaten me here, she thought. She maneuvered the shuttle around to the other side and, to prove it, she saw three parts of the T-ship lying on the platform, one of them so beaten up it was almost unrecognizable.
"Fine, be that way," she snarled. She swung to the abandoned side of the planet, landed without the notice of the Tamaranians, and got out. There was going to be a change in the approach plan.

Yeah, that coming of the school year is . I think that explains it all. . .anyway, chapter six was good. I liked seeing Galfore, he's just awesome. Also, Raven crashing her ship was handled very well; I liked the one description you did, 'But a blast of black energy blasted through the cockpit a a blue-hooded figure was trying to wriggle out of the tiny hole', I don't know I just thought it was neat how you referred to her as a blue-hooded figure. Oh, and if Galfore doesn't know what the Eduladek is, where could it possibly be on Tamaran? I'm quite interested in where this story is going to go. Lots of plot, evil villains, and a half-robot girl(robots are cool). I can't wait for more.:D

Good work with that chapter. Raven's crash-landing was pretty damn funny, especially 'cause it was so expected, and it's also amusing to see the plans of the villains go astray before we have a full picture of what they are (you know what I mean, right?:sweat::sweat:). But where's the book, and what does Tigyn intend to do next? Only you know...;)

----------------------------
Chapter 7
Robin, Starfire, and Raven made their way down to a few rooms first, as Galfore insisted. "You need to rest before you go to search for it! Don't push yourself so hard!" he had said, and they gave in.
On their way, Robin couldn't help but ask out of curiosity what Blackfire had told Starfire in the sub-part of the T-ship. "She told me that the book is hidden," Starfire said.
"Way to state the obvious," Raven muttered.
"She told me to go to the topmost tower of the palace and to see where the light shines," Starfire continued, ignoring Raven. "That is where we will find it."
"Why do I get the feeling that this is one of those times where a clue leads to another clue that leads to another clue?" Robin sighed, smacking his head. "So...how does she know this?"
"Because...she told me that she was the one who hid it. It was one of the reasons why she was traveling. She, too, was wanting to gather all of the books," Starfire said. "However, she hid the one she had and when breaking in among the Centauri moons learned that their copy had been lost on Earth somehow. That is why she was there...well, along with other reasons."
"Hm. But in the end she got arrested, sent to jail, and never decided to go after it again," Raven said.
"Somewhat," Starfire sighed. She checked what time it was. They should head towards the tallest tower in a few hours.
Meanwhile, Tigyn flew up the cliff and checked the surroundings. Tamaranian guards were everywhere. Oh, well. That was a good thing, actually. There were so many of them going around they couldn't all possibly be informed about the current standings.
She flew up and landed right in the midst of them. Many of them were startled at the boldness of the stranger to do so; others immediately pointed their attack sticks at her.
"Who are you? What do you want?" one of them demanded.
"By any chance, have you seen the Teen Titans around here?" she asked calmly. "We've been crashing all over the place here today, I'm not sure where they went."
"What do you want with them?" said a guard cautiously.
"You don't know? I'm one of them!" she said, with fake surprise.
"You weren't here the last time they came."
"I...uh...recently joined them." She put her hands on her hips. "Isn't it obvious that I'm human? Why in the world would I come here then?"
The Tamaranian guards were very confused. Galfore had already gone off, not in the throne room, and the Titans were in their rooms where Galfore told them not to disturb them. "Should we let her in?" one of them asked. Then he sneezed.
Suddenly, the others began to sneeze too. "What..."
Tigyn had filled three cartridges in her arm full of chromium dust, and fired one of them off right there. The dust was tiny, like dust and invisible if one wasn't looking for it. "Well, I'll be looking for my comrades," said Tigyn, walking past. None of the guards bothered stopping her.
"Too easy," she muttered as she entered the building. Just then, coincidentally, the Titans were walking together down the hall. The guards had been misinformed. Well, at least, they were on their way to their rooms.
"-go to the topmost tower of the palace and to see where the light shines," Starfire's voice said. That sounded familiar. Oh, yes. That black-clad Tamaranian had told her the same thing. She had said she was the only one that knew where it was hidden. How did Starfire find out?
Well, if they both knew where it was, then she would have to beat the Titans to it. She tiptoed out unnoticed, and headed for the topmost tower. The race was on.

Oooh, this is gonna be fun! It's about time we had another confrontation...but, then again, will you even do something so obvious? You haven't so far...;):anime::evil:

LOL that's a pretty funny way of sneaking in, causing the guards to sneeze to death. With a character like Tigyn (Who can rip them to shreds  ), it sa welcome change i must admit lol.
As your story says, the Race is on! And I eagerly await the next chapter. I also notice that blackfire has mysteriously vanished. DUN DUN DUN

:anime:That was awesome. I have to say, Tigyn is really clever. Anyway, I liked your reasoning for the book being on Tamaran. It sounds exactly something like Blackfire would do. Events are being set in motion, and I'm really interested in that. I eagerly wait for more!
PS. Tigyn rules!(had to be said again)

Haha, thanks everyone. I'm glad you all like Tigyn a lot. I've got the chapter going along at a really, really slow pace right now, but I'll have it up soon.
