Those who have read the responce thread for "Panic in the Sky" have no doubt noticed that some members have called the bizzare Luthor/Brainiac amalgamation at the end of that episode either "Brainthor" or "Luthoriac." I take responsibility for that.

I'm from Canada, so I got to see this episode several weeks ago on YTV. Much of the comments, acclimations, and critiques I've read on the CN respoce thread mirror those from on our earlier YTV responce thread, including the reactions to the surprise apperance of Brainiac. As an aside in one of my responces I asked whether we should call the Luhtor/Brainiac entity "Brainthor" or "Luthiac" (which some later changed to the much better sounding "Luthoriac"). I didn't expect much of it, but to my surprise those names were adopted by other posters when discussing this episode and the following "Divided We Fall."

I never charted how many adapted what name, but to my knowledge "Brainthor" seemed to be the most used, (it's my favorite as well), although "Luthoriac" had its supporters. Now that we've (hopefully) all seen "Panic in the Sky" I thought that I would put it up for a vote.

So, cast your vote for which name you prefer, or if you prefer add another name.

Brainthor. That's an instant classic.

Definately Brainthor. It just sounds so hilarious and appropriate.

I prefer The Brainiathor. Sounds like a future California Governor, doesn't it?

Brainthor. It's got that...comic-y ring to it.

I prefer The Brainiathor. Sounds like a future California Governor, doesn't it? Well, it would look good for the logo, if The Brainiathor ever gets a spin off.

Whoops! typo on the logo! The Branithor... Well, I'm too lazy to fix it at this stage of the game, so, oh well...

Brainthor sounds more evil I think

I guess which name you prefer could be a result of which personality you think is really controlling JLU's amalgam villain.

On the other hand while Luthoriac sounds "meaner," but Brainthor just rolls off the tongue.

I prefer 'Lexiac' myself.

Brainthor is the obvious choice... but Luthoriac is cooler. Luthoriac for me.

Luthoriac is a mouthful. Brainthor is corny.
Advantage: Brainthor

Come on. BRAINTHOR. That is so bad it's perfect! I can see Luthor/Brainiac standing there fighting the League and Flash keeps calling him that, and Lex finally screams "STOP CALLING ME BRAINTHOR! NOOOOOOO!"

"Gee, Brainthor, what are we going to do tonight?"
"The same thing we do every night, Mercy. TRY TO ASSIMILATE THE WORLD INTO OUR COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS AND THEN PROCEED TO DOWNLOAD EVERY LAST MICRON OF DATA IN THE UNIVERSE!"
"...uh..."
THEY'RE MERCY, THEY'RE MERCY AND THE BRAIN-BRAIN-BRAIN-BRAIN-THOR.

But Style's got a good suggestion, too. :)

You're right, if it's Brainiac controlling Luthor, he's Luthoriac, if it's the other way around, it's Brainthor (the dominant character[istic]/noun is second).

I prefer Brainthor, though, it's funny, easy to say, and all that.

We should've had one of these when Plasmus, Cinderblock, and Overload combined.

why put spoilers on the thread title if the main spoiler can be easily deduced by the title :b

why put spoilers on the thread title if the main spoiler can be easily deduced by the title :bI realized that, but I figured I might as well place a spoiler warning there to cover my tracks and avoid being accused of carelessly ruining the episode for someone.

By the way Temple Fugate, that "Mercy and the Brainthor" idea was hilarious.:D

I smell a spinoff in our future.;)

Actually, Lexiac is the proper name, as it was used in the comics

Kieralinn...

Wait, why are we even coming up with a new name? unless my understanding of what happened is wonky, Brainiac just took over Lex's body. If it's not willing, there should be no new name. Brainiac's in charge.
