I read a while back the music was going to be replaced for the Viewtiful Joe anime when it airs on KidsWB. I haven't seen the original myself but I have heard the opening song in Japanese. In the latest issue of Nintendo Power was included a preview disc with a trailer for the VFX Battle game that is still in development. I was really surprised to hear what sounded like a dubbed over version of the song.

Has anyone else watched that same trailier? Btw they also had a trailer for the One Piece Grand Battle game that used the Japanese voices.

Yeah I saw it. I didn't really notice the song in the VFX video though. That could be the opening I guess.

I like that OP promo. I guess 4kids hadn't finished dubbing the voices yet.

Well considering that the artisits (SAGA) who did "Brighter Side" already did a completely English version of the song (which may have been what you heard) there shouldn't be a need to change it. I hope they don't change the music for the show though. That was like the ONLY good thing about it.

All I can say is that they better have Dee Bradley Baker in this series or it won't be worth my time.

I was wondering why the vocalists sounded so similar. Did they make the English version of the song for anything in particular?

I think they already said that WB's making them change the music, unfortunately.

I think they already said that WB's making them change the music, unfortunately.That's... odd. WB specificly requested to have the original music removed? WHY would they do that? I was under the impression that the dubbers did it to cut down on licensing costs.

If the WB is going to fill in the gaps with Pop Music they have in their library, then go ahead.

As long as we get our un-cut DVD's...
