Watching Justice League, do you guys notice how Superman seems to be the most hit target out of all the others? Secret Origins was a good example. I guess because he's superstrong he can take it, but I'm noticing it just a little too often. BTW, Enemy Below rocked! Awesome episode!

With great power comes great punishment.

being that he is undoubtedly the greatest threat to any plans laid out by evildoers, its no wonder they all go for him first

Maybe because of his gigantic chest and shoulders he can't dodge some attacks.
Even in S:TAS he took a lot of hits that one might think he could avoid. Usually it's dodge, dodge, HIT...or something like that.
Maybe he doesn't feel like he has to dodge things. He knows he can take punishment like no other and keep on chugging.
That, and often times he's the first one into a battle situation.

Yeah, he likes to go after the big weapons, probably because he knows that he's the most powerful one on the team and so is the best candidate for the job, but as a result he gets smacked around by those weapons.

Its more dramatic this way. Besides he's the only character who can be hit by a nuclear missle and come out standing...

See I look at it as kinda like Rocky Balboa taking all those shots to the head.
Superman is the guy who takes blows that really friggin hurt and would put many of the others out after one shot.
*he's* the guy who gets back up. He's the guy who keeps coming. He will not yeild.
In both cartoons, he's isn't Superman because he's casually omnipotent. He's Superman because he's not only a noble and heroic individual, but he's the toughest SOB alive.

Yup. Superman is the toughest member of the League, so he has to take the brunt of whatever is thrown at them.

I agree with the idea that Superman charges head-first into most attacks because he's the least vulnerable to injury, but I also think that it serves another purpose; it makes him (and the league) look that much tougher.
When Superman, the most powerful hero in the world, is slapped around by a giant alien squid, it says to the viewer "Whoa, that squid is one bad mamma-jamma!" Seeing him shake it off and fly back into the fray makes him look like a fierce warrior, and deserving to be the leader of the JL.
This also makes the other members of the league look more heroic, as they hold their own against a threat that can rattle the Man of Steel. After all, when that giant alien squid smashes Superman through a wall and Green Lantern or Hawkgirl decides to attack it anyway, it makes them look pretty bold as well.

Batman best described Superman's behavior, as "charging head on with two fists" or something like that...
