Um Yeah. Infact I was trying to go the the official Spiderman Site, to see what they thought, but they seemed to have changed the site, and I cant get into there anymore.
But I just saw this Commercial. And im like the total opposite of you. Besides the dumb Goblin Costume, I thought the trailer I saw with jurassic Par 3 was really awesome. Looked real.
But this VERY long trailer Basically shows 70% of what seems to be all the action in the movie. Not only that My biggest dissapointment comes from how the special effects of Spidey looks. Now 2 motnhs ago, I was on the Other side of the fence. I was defending the movies looks, because based off of the old trailer, I saw a great combination of what seemed to be CGi, and Real elements. An they were saying way BACK then, that it looked corny. I disagreed witht hem.
But Now...Oh my gosh. It seems they may have more work to do. Hopefully they will add some more work to the Cg's. If anyone saw harry Potter you'll know what Im disgusted about. How do you make a Person into CGI and Passit off as real? It looked silly.
This is how Spidey looks in some crucial scenes. Some are well done, But there are some Obvious CGI scenes, and alot of time, people dont want to know that what there wacthing is fake or rendered. And these are scenes where we're looking straight at him from the from, his whole anatomy looked fake in some scenes. The animation is cool, but that's all.
About 2 weeks ago I did get to see some extra scenes, Like the one where he's bleeding on the ceiling, that scene is also follows the scene where Spidey Swings into his room window, lands and takes off his mask. 2 weeks ago, I thought that was an awesome Looking scene, and even 2 weeks ago my excitement level was way up for Spidey. But this latest trailer brought it down a notch.
And that's only due to SOME if it's silly CGI scenes.
Other than that, Im still interested in seeing there REASONING, behind his powers. Like, They showed, tiny insect hooks coming out of his thumb. (Wish I taped it). Im sure they must be going crazy at the Spiderman boards. I read about Spidey's powera ccording to marvel, and this Movie makes more sense than the comic does regarding how they work. The comic makes it less scientific, and more COSMIC, how Spidy's powers work. In the Comic, they say, he has the ability to stick to surfaces, with his other body parts besides his hands. Like even the back of his head, legs and stomach, and can't be removed against his will. That's some bloated nonsense. Now in the film, he has those insect spikey things, he'd have to have those ALL over his body, if they we're to be true to the comic. But im sure it wont be like that.
People are also upset with his web shooters. in the comic Spidey invented it. in the film, they say it is a combination of that and biological. Probably a result of his mutation.
I think it will be fun though, they even showed how much, the actor got in shape to play the role. He did pretty good. He was very defined.

Those are hairs.
Anyway...WOW. Just WOW. A little corny at times (Lunchroom scene), but very comic booky. And I think that The Goblin is wearing total armor, and that he just has enhanced strength, a really cool skysled...etc...Love the aerial swinging, save for a few. And the trailer itself was very cool. A lot of teenagers are going to want to see this...

The movie looks interesting, but I gotta agree with FLIPMODE - the CG Spidey scenes were terrible - they really stood out from the rest, IMO. His movements really seemed unnatural.

Those little hooks coming out of his thumb were nasty looking. ugh. It's always the bad images that get stuck in your head.
Otherwise it looked pretty cool, even with the cgi bits looking too cgi.

They weren't really hooks - just hairs growing out.

Spider hairs to be more exact. Spiders have a fine type of hair that resemble the new body hair that Petey seems to be growing (ah man...the possible jokes there...thank god this is a PG forum). I thought it was an awesome touch.
