View Full Version : I actually updated the FAQ. =o

After noticing an out-of-date factoid regarding Eva, I noticed the FAQ has fallen way behind...uh, again. So instead of my original plan of rewatching Being John Malkovich, I actually updated a bunch of stuff tonight.
I'm aware it's not done yet (stopping for tonight since it's 4 AM). I know I still need to (mainly writing this for my own reference):
A) Finish the DVD and maybe add some DVD links
B) Get descriptions of the undescribed shows/movies (uh...if someone could do a quick rundown of Scryed I'd appreciate it)
C) Add a few shows/movies (I know I probably missed some)
D) Double check the letters to make sure they line up
If you can think of anything else that needs to be added (or would like to contribute/correct/whatever something), feel free to go ahead.
Now that's that out of the way, you can make fun of us because the FAQ:
A) Had comedic anime as "having a slim chance of happening"
B) Had Drizzle listed as a current moderator
C) Still talked about the red text rule
D) Had the age-old Cowboy Bebop movie poster question
E) Said Venture Brothers "will be preimering in February 2004"
=(

Thanks for removing the Lupin the Third "My Birthday Pursuit" reference regarding future episode edits. I instant-messaged that one to a moderator (Matthew Williams) over a year ago....

So instead of my original plan of rewatching Being John MalkovichSave yourself the trouble and watch the best part, the soundtrack.
D) Had the age-old Cowboy Bebop movie poster questionI saw a live-action Bebop poster once. That the one you're talkin' about? What's the deal with that? Were they gonna make a movie?

Nope. It was just a well-done fan project.I didn't think that could be taken seriously. Perhaps I laid it on a little too thinly.

There are still some outdated things in that FAQ. I don't think anyone is going to ask for uncut Dragon Ball Z on Adult Swim when it's currently airing on regular Cartoon Network. And when was the last time someone talked about the Spike TV animation block anywhere, let alone on the AS board?
I also think it might be a good idea to put the AS glossary somewhere else (either in another thread or on this board's phantom AS site). If newcomers open up the FAQ page and see it scrolls half way down into the pits of hell, they might skip the whole thing altogether.

Save yourself the trouble and watch the best part, the soundtrack.Malkovich going into his own head wins.
What's the red text rule? That.

But that reminded me of how Yu Yu tends to pop up periodically.
The Spike TV specifically isn't discussed anymore but I think it's worth keeping in the next time some random block comes up. I switched the wording a bit.

Malkovich, malkovich malkovich malkovich , mal malkovich malkovich?

That would have redefined William H. Macy's career.

Wouldn't the Lupin the III repeats be going until 2006 and not until 2005, being that it is 2005.
I read the whole glossary :( :) :eek:Congratulations... no one will ever take you seriously again.
