Just wander if tommarow is the series finale or if there's more to come and if WB will air more episodes (new or reruns) after X-men's second takeover of CC's slot in January?

Well, I'm gonna bet that they'll end the series tomorrow, with occasional reruns in the future (I mean, this is pretty much where the show ended in Japan, though I don't think the WB will air the very last one). It might be nice for them to air the 30 episodes they skipped, but what are you gonna do...

The final Cardcaptors is tomorrow. I've been watching to find out just what in the heck happens at the end (with the sound muted and the closed captioning on, I can't stand those Valley accents). True Card Captor Sakura subtitled tapes are s-l-o-w-l-y being released and a much better option. Reruns probably won't last long; WB seems to be fulfilling its commitment quick so they can rerun the X-Teens some more.

...there won't be a future story arc where Clow Reed is dead and buried permanently, after which Sakura becomes a full-blooded wizard(ess?) and creates her own Avalon deck? Pity.... I still think it'd be cool to see a Death Card...pont it at someone and watch the flesh fall from their bones and putrefy in seconds. ;)

I can't even fathom Sakura having a card like that. I would have liked to see her come up with her own spells, too. But once Eli's done, the only plot point left is for Syaoran to tell Sakura how much he likes her.

Forty more minutes. I'm dying to see if Miss Mizuki returns, and how they deal with her in the dub.

Someone over at CNX told me that they'd be breaking up the movies into episodes now...and that this ISN'T the end? I'm not sure if they where sane or not.

BTW....there's supposed to be another episode after Revelations Part 2? Explain.

The second CCS movie takes place after the last episode and ties up a few loose ends.

And intros one. . . make that two new cards.

Well, uh, you saw part of that episode...

See, what they did was slap two episodes together. The Japanese version ended the main battle finale in episode 69, and then episode 70 was solely devoted to wrapping up the relationships--no action or anything, just Sakura and Li moping around and then splitting up.

Anyway, in episode 70, Li left for home, BUT, Sakura said goodbye to him before he left (we didn't see this in the WB version), and Sakura brought the teddy bear Li made for her in an earlier episode (a scene which the WB skipped).

What you saw was truncated versions of episodes 69 and 70, edited together into one episode.

LMAO...way to send off Li...this was a pretty heartless episode. "Sakura, I'm leaving."

And that's the last you see of him. No tearful goodbye or anything.

It was an okay show. I'm talking about the original _Card Captor Sakura_ here, not _Cardcaptors_.

One thing that bothered me about the show was how vacuous Sakura seemed throughout. I don't mean intentionally airheaded, I mean that I never got the feeling that she ever acted independently. She had all these advisors telling her what to do and EXPLAINING to her the next plot twist (which the WB made even worse in _Cardcaptors_), and she was so far detached from how others were feeling at times. This is a problem with many magical girl shows, but at least with Sailor Moon, she DID something, ANYTHING, when the chips were down. Even though they were sometimes stupid actions, at least she often influenced the plot rather than let the plot influence her.

A smaller thing that bothered me was that Sakura rarely got physical. I guess this being a kid's show I could understand that, but she often relied too much on her cards in situations when she could have used something more practical, like pushing someone ONLY 5 FEET AWAY out of danger instead of using "Windy."

I guess in the end, her charm was that she could get away with this because she was "cute." Well, IMO, being cute doesn't save a bland personality. I wish Meilin was in the show more often.

There was a new card. Huh. Why did Hope have a gigantic heart on it? Wouldn't that be the Love card?

Sakura is a bit slow to decide things, but she is ten. Ten year olds are kind of dumb. I'm with you, though, she could do a little more than stand around with her mouth open.

Were these points in the original end? I've heard them all and none were mentioned in this.

1) Sakura's dad was also the reincarnation of Clow Reed somehow.

2) Mizuki was Eriol's girlfriend.

3) Eriol lost his magic powers for good.

Yep, they screwed with the blamed card--actually, it wasn't supposed to be named until the second movie--very important. But IIRC, it really was the Hope Card. Well, what did we expect? You'd think they would lay off given it was the last episode...

Yes, they skipped many of the details you mentioned. An older man getting it on with an older woman in a boy's body...LMAO...
