No, I am NOT going near the giant space octopus, Cal! If you want to know more about it, dissect it yourself!

what I was doing was I found a site that displays Japanese PERFECTLY and I copied it and wanted to paste it here. When I pasted it, it looked perfect, but as soon as I posted it, it got all funky. Not that I was gonna use it on a regular forums page, but I figured if I was gonna experiment, what better place to do so than here!

Guess it wouldn't work for this, would it?

If you download the Pan-Japanese Text info, most Japanese text will display, but not all of it. Mine has that and all I'm getting is colonial F-S's and punctuation. Let me try one that works.

Yup, J-text is beyond TZN's capabilities.

All board text is displayed in Arial, unless you select Times, Courier or Century when writing a post. So you're limited to whatever characters are in those fonts. I don't see much demand for adding a Japanese font...

I do have to admit some of those characters look pretty funky! I wouldn't know how to type them with my keyboard, that's for sure.
