Batman vs. Superman ???!!!!!

Who'd win in a fight Batman or Superman? Sure Superman has powers but id think Batman will outsmart the hell outta supes.

This is one of those "no-clear-answer-so-root-for-your-guy" kinda threads, there's always going to be a disagreement. But, I say Bats could take Superman down. If it was just a spur of the moment thing, though, Superman's got the edge....

It would be a root for your guy type of answer. Both have good reasons as to why they would or wouldn't win.
How about if they were playing poker, or chess, or checkers, or jenga (sp?), or monopoly, or darts, or pool, or uno, or battleship, or rock-paper-scissors...those would be interesting matchups. More chance involved...more cerebral, which both excel at (yes, I do think Supes could hold his own in some, maybe not all, cerebral competitions with Bats). A fight is cool too, but sometimes I like to think of them competing in other scenarios.

Depends on which version of each character. If we go with the animated versions of both, then Batman just MIGHT be able to take Supes down in a non-preptime battle without resorting to Kryptonite. Part of this would still be mind games, though.

With preptime, any version of Bats beats any version of Supes. He's got Kryptonite and he knows how to use it to best effect.

The thing with these arguments is that people always mention how Superman's weakness is Kryptonite. What they forget to mention is that Batman's weakness is he's a un-powered human. So yeah, if Batman is clever in how he uses Kryptonite, he can hurt Superman. But at the same time, if Superman manages to hit Batman, or if he even keeps his distance and uses heat vision and super breath, that's going to hurt Batman in just the same way. And Superman's heat vision can be really nasty when it's used at full-force. Anyways, I agree with what others have said about how, when you make these kinds of arguments, you're just rooting for whoever you like more. Really, I think that either one of them could possibly win, though Superman is probably more likely with little preparation time and Batman's likelihood of winning increases as preparation time increases. But, even given lots of prep time, Bats can't prepare for everything (no matter what the fanboys think ;) ) so Supes could still POSSIBLY be able to win.

Mmm, It just depends. Overall Batman, is more paranoid, and more defensive. Even when I think about the Little things like, for instance, Supes has all these powers which aid him against other foes, Super hearing, Sight. But (And I'veWitnessed it), Batman being the human that he is, is still able to elude him, Vanish without a trace. So I'll put it in both of their favors, by saying, with OUT any prep-time, it's 50-50 to who ever may win. Given that either Superman is enraged enough to fully Pulverize the Bat OR, given that the Bat is smart enough to retreat, and come back with a plan, Like Kryptonite or ANYTHING else than can hurt Supes.
Physically I think the bat can, predict Supes moves and counter them, But when Supes starts using Heat vision, and Super Breath and Speed, the Bat will be up a Creek. I've also seen the Bat dodge Supes, at Super speed. And know one can forget how The Bat Tossed Supes across the room, in "Worlds Finest". But without that Krypto, Bruce would have been up a creek.


However, if they both know the Battle is set for Tomorrow, then hands down Batman will win. No one in any universe, plans better than him.

I think Batman is way cooler than Superman- but if no krypronite was present, he wouldn't stand a chance. I mean, how much time can he really spend outsmarting Supes? The guy can fly, move at the speed of a bullet and has serious stregth. How could Batman "outsmart" him? The only way he could, would to bring Kryptonite in the first place, in which case Supes is going down.

You almost have to wonder how Supes could beat anyone, as in the animated world it seems like everyone and their brother has a piece of krytonite.

I agree with prep time giving Batman an edge, but only to a point. With kryptonite, it's would be all Bats. Without, even with prep time,IMO, it would still be anyone's ballgame. Both have weaknesses, but Supes isn't as dense as he is sometimes made out to be. Both would have the ability to exploit each other's lessor points.

Bruce Wayne's IQ is huge, and can bluff better than anyone, so I think Batman's got quite the edge when it comes to anything but a fist fight. After all, Kal can't lie, so B.S. is right out. :D

If Superman flies out of nowhere and hits Batman, I'd say Superman would win (Batman's a quick thinker, but Superman's faster flying). However, if Batman has a few seconds to plan, it's all over for Supes.
