I was watching BB when something about the batsuits came to mind. In the batcave in BB, I see Nightwing's costume, which, although I remember him rebelling against Batman, I think they got along again. Anyways, is the Robin suit Dick Grayson's or Tim Drake's? What i am wondering is what did Bruce do with DG's Robin suit after Tim became Batman? Did he like retailor it or did he toss it, or are they both in there and I am just missing something?

That's Tim Drake's costume. I'm sure that Dick Grayson has the Robin costume now...

Hey that reminds me, speaking of suits. By that time, Alfred has been long gone,...why not put his suit up in a vault. Above anyone else, his service invaluable.
It would just be funny to see a butler suit up in there.

lol, well if anything Alfred's suit needs to be next to Batman's. ;)

Was there ever an explination as to why the Robin suit changed from the red/green color scheme to the red/black color scheme?...

Good question. I don't think I have an answer, but I can definitely build onto the question...
In "Sins of the Father", when Tim Drake first begins to explore the Batcave, he comes across the Robin costume encased in glass. It's the same red and black costume he puts on later in that episode and wears throughout the series.
Later in "Old Wounds", we see that Dick Grayson wore the red and green Robin costume right up until the moment he left Batman and quit being Robin. So the qustion could also be asked, "Was the red and black costume in the case a new costume that Batman had made as a tribute to the Robin identity?" OR "Since Dick looked as if he took the red and green costume with him when he left, could the red and black costume in the cave be one of Dick's original outfits?"
It's possible that Batman only had one of Robin's early costumes left to put in the case, and afterall the suit was little enough to fit the small-sized Tim Drake.
And for the record, the suits in the cave in BB include Batman (TNBA style), Batgirl (TNBA style), Tim Drake's Robin, Nightwing, and occasionally the Batman Beyond suit itself. Early episodes of BB always showed that case to be empty, since Terry McGinnis was using the suit. Later in the series, the BB suit is sometimes in the case even when Terry is wearing it at the same time (I guess Bruce eventually made a reserve suit and stored it in the case).

Well I thought Tim called it the original Robin suit in SotF. So I would guess that it was Dick's original costume and then by the time he had grown up Alfred had made him a new suit. After all, spandex can only stretch so much. :D

I haven't seen the episode in a while, but I think Tim calls it the "real" Robin suit. I'll have to dig up the video tape I have with that episode on it and look again to be sure, though.

All of this got me thinking about the episode "Over the Edge." In the opening scene where the cops are chasing down Batman inside the cave, they shoot out a trophy case that has Dick's red and green costume in it. That case was never seen in any other episodes, however, so one could argue that it only existed in Batgirl's dream.

The whole Robin suit thing would be an intresting question to have the TNBA creative team answer. Maybe one day....

The Batman Beyond suit that shows up when Terry is wearing it is Bruce's, from when HE wore it. Look at it. It's bigger...

Then who's suit is Terry wearing in "Rebirth"?

Unless Bruce made an extra suit for Terry and took back his original suit, the suit Terry is wearing is the same Bruce wore. Bruce must've made a replacement to place in the case....or something

In Rebirth, Terry wore the one that Bruce did. But umm...it MAGICALLY conformed to his body structure...

Terry stuffs pillows around his chest everytime he puts the suit on :D

That would explain the tremendous amounts of beating Terry can take. :p

Figure this out...In 'Lost Soul' Terry has to go one-on-one with the suit because, apparently, there are no extras. But in 'Splicers' the suit gets mangled pretty bad when Terry turns into a giant bat, then in the very next scene he's going after Cuvier in a perfectly good suit. Replacement? Hmmm.....

Another thing: they never show the "garage" part of the Batcave, which should contain the 1st Batmobile, the big blue one. It is bigger than the current, sleek black Batmobile, but the current one seems to be faster.
As for the Batwing, the original was very much larger and could house more than two people I believe. It looked like it could in my Batman: Animated book. But now he has replaced it with a jet fighter-like Batwing that is faster, sleeker, black, and more efficient. The original Bat-vehicles were black with shades of dark blue.
The Batboat was also like this, smaller, and without the "wing things" on the side that the current Batboat now has.
As to the scenario with the Robin suit, I'm sure Bruce wouldn't abandon that. He probably has it in a case somewhere in the Batcave, in one of those glass containers, like the ones that house the other suits in BB. He also probably has the original Batman suit from B:TAS and the Batgirl suit from B:TAS (unless Barbara decided to keep it; she made it herself remember in "Shadow of the Bat").
All in all we are never explained what happened to the things from B:TAS. The Grey Ghost costume reappears in BB, but does it still have that vault around it? The separate platform in the Batcave which houses it? It seems Brucie moved it.

It's always amusing to see the slip-ups that writers make. Like saying that there's only one batsuit Terry can use....but then when he wrecks one, there just happens to be a spare. With the Robin costume thing, I'd have to say that it was probably the original one Dick wore, I mean, of course they would have to make new ones as he grew. But, it still doesn't explain why it's black and red, since his original is suppose to be green, red and gold. It might just be a slip-up again by the writers. Sometimes they like to use different colors for costumes, but they forget to try and explain it somewhere in the series. They probably did a character design for Tim, altered the Robin costume to be red and black and they liked it. So they just had the costume he's gonna end up wearing be just like they wanted, and that's that, lol. And they don't have to worry that people'll want to know the reason for it, because the average audience wont even realize it. Only the crazed bat-fans like us notice and wonder about those things...

The reason it's black and red...is that it was TIM's...
