I could feel myself getting sick a few days ago (scratchy throat) so I started drinking alot of fluids and lying in the sun as a kind of preemptive strike. I always drink a lot of orang juice and tea, so I just stepped up my consumption of those. I was going to buy some "coldeeze," but they taste so terrible and they cost 6$ a bag .

Yesterday I felt pretty good. I was popping "halls" left and right and drinking a big glass of tea every hour and felt alright, really. But, that night i was getting cold flashes.

Today, I'm full blow sick. :( I called in sick and I'm going to spend the day lying around and drinking hot things like soup and even MORE tea. Anyone else ill as a k-9?

Yeah, there's some nasty nasty stuff going around. I came down sick the day after Thanksgiving and it kept me home from work for a week. Started out as a sore throat and some congestion and kept getting worse. They had to put me on antibiotics for it. I've gotten rid of it mostly, but I've still got a cough.

My mother came down sick around that time soon and even almost had to go to the hosptal for it - she's been out of work for two weeks now!

*raises hand* I am sick!

There is definitely something going around. Half of the student body in my school is sick. Many, many people I know are sick. I think it has something to do with the fact that it was 70 degrees last Friday and snowed on Saturday.

I don't really see anything going around, but I am sick. And I'm probably gonna stay that way 'till I get my tonsills out. I've only had tonsillitis twice, and I hafta get it seven times until they can even think of taking them out. So it's at least a couple more months till these things come out. Joy. My throat's hurting so much I could barely talk. (Lucky I can still type, eh? :D)

I am happy I haven't gotten sick so far this year, tho I've been around several people with some nasty stuff. I've managed to keep healthy! (fingers crossed) I find that at times I find somebody is sick, I begin to feel the symptoms of a cold. Sometimes, I have to literally think about being healthy and set my mind away from the cold and flu, as I am sure if I dwell on it long enough, I too would become sick.

Not much more than what I usually get every year around this time. I try to make sure that I eat something warm right away or bundle up better if I feel chilly.

There is a slight soreness of throat, but since I've had it a couple of days, it doesn't seem to be getting worse. Also, I yelled quite a lot a couple of days ago, so it may not be a cold at all.

I was sick about a week ago. I had a sore throat and headache that seemed to be getting worse the whole day. It seems that everybody at my school are sick or getting there.

This is normaly why I hate when the seasons change.

Well,I`m glad I`m not the only one...I went for YEARS without getting sick more than the occasional two or three day minor cold, but I`ve had a sore throat five times in the last four months, two within the same two weeks! (got totally better, then got something with slightly different symptoms two days later!!!!!!!!! Made me downright angry!)

Just getting over some nasty discomfort in my sinuses as I type this...my throat felt tight the last few days...I hate when your ears "crackle" every time you swallow from the pressure and congestion.Uggh.

I'm not sick right now, and I can't really afford to be until finals are over next week. There's not really many sick people around here. Maybe it has something to do with the temperature still being pretty warm.

But, there is this kid I know who I just found out has developed pneumonia! So the guy has to take an incomplete in all of his classes and try to make them all up when he feels better. I really feel sorry for the guy, he seemed pretty weak when I saw him. He said he should be better in about 3 weeks and would have to miss any New Year's partying.

Anyways, feel better everyone. :bosko:

I'm sick too. But I'm still going to school. I check my temp. every day when I get up, and it's between 100 to 102 degrees. But I can't afford to miss class, since finals are coming up. :(

Last week I was, but I'm better now. Plus there was that whole 24-hour thing the day before Thanksgiving.
My sister-in-law has been practically bedridden with a sprained back from lifting a heavy dog food bag at Wal-Mart. She thinks she might be able to return to work today though. So here's a hope....

I too have had the sore thoart/congestion thing going on this week. I'm just starting to get rid of it, thank God. Felt miserable Monday and Tuesday....
