...since Return of the Joker FINALLY was released? Man, a lot has happened. Who would've thought that a year later we'd only have one new episode to go? We'd have no Batman Beyond comic book? Not I, that's for sure. I hope that DC, WB, whoever will do something with this series somewhere down the line because it deserves another run if not a decent wrap-up...

I am not surprised the comic book is gone. It was a weak series with a few good issues. I just think it sucks we aren't seeing any new movies. Honestly, I expeted at least that.

I can't believe it either. Canada got the movie on Nov. 28th, which allowed me to do the now infamous 'edit' list. I never thought that in a year's time Batman Beyond would be abandoned by Kids'WB! and WB. They've said that BB is basically dead in the water, which really sucks to hear.

Yeah, hard to believe BB is done. It's only been a year since the ROTJ hubub, but it feels like so much longer ago. At least we're getting the uncut on DVD next year.

Oh and thanks nightwing_38116, if you're still around!

nightwing_38116 really stepped in when the fans needed it. It seems like this all happened so much longer ago. Pretty amazing how this all tumbled downhill rathar quickly.

Yeah, I haven't managed to get the un-edited version either. And my edited version got eaten by my stupid VCR. Aghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! I don't even WANT to THINK about that! :bosko:

Ohh, all the more reason to get a DVD player! The unedited DVD will be out next year!

That's right... we went from the euphoric highs of ROTJ, which we figured (before we discovered the edits) would guarantee Beyond another season or two.

And now we're coming to what I fear will be an entirely anti-climactic end. It certainly FEELS like it's been more than a year, for me...

I'll be roasted for this. But If BB had to end, I'm glad it ended hoe it did, a new beginning for everyone, with Terry gliding off over Gotham.

ROTJ did make a nice bookend to the whole Batman series. Since Wayne taking WaynePowers was never really addressed in any of the episodes (save for a brief mention in KING'S RANSOM when Paxton lost the company) it would have worked.

Bruce back at WaynePowers.

A kindled friendship between Bruce, Tim, and Babs.

A new sense of honor, duty, and trust in Terry.

It would have opened a whole new chapter, but it does a nice job at leaving the series opened ended.
