Okay, here's a question I've been wondering about for a while, and it's started bothering me again after this weekend: Why does early Daffy (and Daffy in Box Office Bunny) call people Robespierre? I'm guessing it's something that Clampett came up with, but doesn't have any apparent meaning. I mean, it's not like Daffy ever uses it to refer to people with an odd fixation with the guillotine. Is it just something kind of random, like Clampett's use of FOO?

I also noticed that Robespierre is the name of one of the baby ducks in BOOBY HATCHED. I don't know what it means, but Frank Tashlin used it several times.

http://www.spumco.com/magazine/eowbcc/eowbcc-qr.html#r sez that Robespierre was the "Little brother of Baby Snooks on the Fanny Brice radio show."

I always forget about the online cartoon companion. Well, that seems to make sense for Booby Hatched, anyways.
