Hi everybody,
Well, it's 1.03 AM here in the UK, and I'm still at work. I have a all the loading screens for the computer game I'm working on finished by New Year, as seeing as I break up for my 'holidays' on the 21st December, and don't come back 'till Jan. 2nd, that basically means I have to have them all finished by next Friday!!!
I've ten left to do now, so that's more than one per working day - which is why I'm still here, putting the finishing touches to today's screen - boy, it's been a long day...
So, what's this post for? Am I complaining? "oh me oh my, life's so hard..."?
Hell no.
I am the luckiest SOB I know. A year ago I was stuck in retail hell, and I'd have given my back-teeth to be where I am right now. I am under tremendous pressure to finish this work on time before I'm moved on to a new project (concept art for a brand spanking new title - how cool is that?), and, d'ya know, I couldn't be happier. I am so buzzed up, I get up every morning and grin like an idiot 'cos I can get back to work and start all over again...
And what's one of the the integral parts of my day? You guys. I only have access to this board whilst I'm at work, and my every working day is enriched and lightened by these boards, so I guess this whole post is just one big rambling, tired, bleary eyed 'thank you', and a hearty slap on the back to the mods, reporters, members et al that make this board the great place it is to hang out...
